I've never met him but he's a known Charlton fan, and given his loyalty to the club I can easily imagine him applauding the players off the pitch after tuesdays loss. Is that bad?
If you find his stuff irritating, and many seem to, don't read it. It's not a problem as his name is on top of all his posts.
Complete waste of space.3 -

Willingly having poor players in the side that Adkins himself admitted weren't good enough.
Pearce was offered a one year deal.1 -

I thought it was fairly clear from NA's comments that the Pearce contract was as much to do with nurturing / mentoring the younger players as much as it was to do with being a back up CB.
You can't just reduce the age of a squad by kicking out every player over xx age. Younger players coming through need to see some older, more experienced players along side them on the pitch....not just words from experienced coaches in training IMO.
Pearce is also in the process of getting his coaching badges etc so I think that the extension was a fairly decent decision for all parties.16 -

“I hope we can make a few more additions. Some of those will probably be more of the last-minute deadline day loan signings – simply just to create a little more depth in the squad. Because it is a long season, 46 games as a minimum.“We need a few more players in to strengthen the depth of the squad. We pretty much have the makings of a starting first-team now and a decent depth. By adding up to a handful more players before deadline then we will be well set for this season."

We are SO short of quality in the starting 11 and impact subs that MK Dons and Oxford are miles better than us. I can't see, honestly, nothing better than bottom half with our current squad and who we may sign.
It is going to be a long, hard winter.3 -

Says to me we will make signings, both for the first XI PLUS some to add to the squad depth.
As mentioned before, I don’t think we need to read deep into every word he says.8 -
I think we need to be very careful analysing every word a guy says in an unscripted setting when English isn't his first language. Yes he is fluent and he's lived in the US for donkeys years but even when a person is fluent there is always a degree of uncertainty when it gets down to precise underlying meanings and how what he thinks is the same word might actually be a close equivalent, impacted by an idiomatic phrase, etc.
In any case, words like: some; several; many; few; most; a number; a handful, are inherently imprecise. They mean different things to different people and at different times might mean different things to the same people. Add in the language crossover and word for word analysis is a minefield.
Proof in actions not words...19 -

Over 10% of the season. And an unsettled side, unbalanced side and new players to learn how to play "the Adkins way"
If you're serious about getting out of the division, you are ahead of where we are right now and closer to where our MUCH stronger competition are.
I prey I am wrong, but I just don't see it. Unless TS wakes up and sees we genuinely are far far worse than we were last season.3 -

You need both and this year just like most of last year most of our 1st team are either too young or too old. We don't have that core of 25-30 players with a few outliers.0 -
This is like being back at school doing English.
I think what the author, Thomas Sandgaard, meant, is that...10 -

I’ve actually stopped looking at this thread for actual rumours. It’s no ones fault that there are no names out there but I do find it a bit odd at this stage. I still think we’re in the process in some cases of first contact with potential targets. Astonishing really at this point.3

I hope that I am wrong but this season is beginning to look like a disaster waiting to happen.
We have about half a dozen decent players, the rest are simply not good enough.
Some of the experienced pros like Inniss, Gilby, JFC, and Schwartz are not fit.
The academy youngsters are too young and too inexperienced.
The new players we have brought in, like the goalkeeper, Dobson and Clare are at best somewhere between poor and mediocre.
The displays this season are more like relegation performances, rather than a team who is meant to be aiming for automatic promotion.
Unless things change fast this is going to be a difficult, long hard season.6 -

He just deliberately makes things up and says ridiculous comments to wind everyone up.
He’s obviously a Palace Fan!0 -
Got to kick into gear soon surely0

Jason Pearce doesn’t need to do his coaching badges as he has already completed them. Just to correct a poster above0

I’m certainly not as positive as before but I just don’t think we need to decipher every word that comes out of his mouth. As with anything, the proof is in the pudding.
I am very irritated we are going into another game with no fit senior left back in the squad. Absolutely criminal. Gunter is a poor RB let alone LB. It’s quite frankly a fucking joke.36
