Our owner seriously under estimated the cost of running a football club in this country. Besides which wages are ridiculous in football .

That is why we have signed players others didn't rate and our midfield isn't anywhere near good enough to accommodate 433. Without it our wingers have no threat plus we are short on full backs to support it. We lack a threat so opposition teams just suss us out in 10 minutes.2 -

Wyke is rumoured to be on 10k a week at Wigan. He turned down a new deal at Sunderland (who must have offered a decent enough deal) to go there. You surely wouldn't leave Sunderland for Wigan unless it was for money.Croydon said:

Ipswich have signed some good players for this level. Edwards was believed to have turned down championship clubs to go there. Fraser and Pigott must be on pretty good money.4 -
The good news is there is still time for Sandgaard & Adkins to come out of the transfer window with credibility. Lots of good players are still available.
4 decent loan signings and 1/2 perms of a Dale, Bishop, Lowery or Sims standard would give us a side capable of competing with the best teams in the league.
We know TS & NA can talk the talk. Hopefully they will back up their words over the next 9 days and show us that they can also walk the walk.

#walkingisbrilliantBUT, if this was always the plan, to wait until the end, then it’s dangerous. As we saw after game 46 last year, the finest of margins can promote/relegate you and throwing away 4 matches so that you can wait for a good deal is dangerous.2 -
Clearly we're looking at loans, which I've understood for a while to be likely to happen late. Were we not also told though that there would be scores of released players - some from Championship clubs - who would have to rethink their terms and be jumping at the chance to sign for, ahem, third division promotion contenders? I genuinely believed we might be picking up players of slightly more proven quality than CBT as a direct result of COVID, but have yet to see the benefits! Is that still the plan?0
