Leeds_Addick said:That was very good. Very well run and some good answers from Steve and Ged which made me feel a bit more positive about things than I did beforehand.
We'll have to see how things play out over the next few months but on first viewing Roddy didn't seem like the devil he's been made out to be. Him and Gallen seem like they genuinely work well together.

Same goes for January I guess.1 -

You should pay a fiver a year and listen.
I thought Nigel Adkins had vetoed some players that had been suggested by Steve; according to SG tonight.

So if everything is so great and dandy, why was the recruitment an absolute mess from start to finish?
Seems like everything went perfectly according to them and they aren't changing anything for January.6 -

Why didn't you join the conversation, then you wouldn't have to ask stupid questions based on ignorance of the facts.

Steve Gallen's work load must've been off the scale and no wonder he was suffering.
Ged and Steve seemed to be a double act and Steve genuinely sounded relieved that Ged Roddy is here.
Pleased the Ronnie Schwartz saga was raised and it sounded like they tried to get Ronnie a new club. RS is back home in Denmark injured and this saga will run and run unless we take a big hit by the sound of it.5 -

Life, Gallen replied with, which seemed to surprise the fan.
From watching most of the meeting they seemed to genuinely care and share our frustrations.
In no way did it appear they feel everything is great or went perfectly.21 -
I find Steve Gallen clear, sincere and very much to the point. I found Ged Roddy's answers rather more wordy and abstract and the man is clearly an astute politician. He said that he speaks to Thomas every day.7

Very enjoyable evening, so glad I was able to join. Must say that’s a couple of cracking Zoom calls the Trust have platformed over the last year so a big well done in how these have been handled.
If it was intended to be a positive PR exercise for Steve and Ged, well it worked.Interesting and informative. I’ve no idea of the reality or what it might be masking, but I’m not someone who is easily sold to but I was pretty much won over by virtually everything they said.24 -
I thought it was a really good event, both Gallen and Roddy spoke really well and were happy fielding questions, including a few more awkward ones which they could have danced around but chose to tackle head on.
I think when someone has been at a club a long time it is easy to forget how much value they bring to the club and I think we are really lucky to have someone like Gallen. He seems really invested in the club and his role and I think he speaks exceptionally well, I am sure he could have walked away when times were tough and found another role but he stuck at it and credit to him for that. In the same way I imagine it can be difficult to go from the position he was in with so much responsibility due to there being nobody else at the club to those responsibilities now being more widely shared and again he tackled that question tonight and answered it really well.
The only thing which surprised me a little was TS having breakfast with the players and being sat in the debriefs after the game. You often hear managers saying there is a time and a place for owners to be involved and I do wonder how that interaction is perceived by the players and manager.
However I did think it was great to hear how invested TS is in the club, I know they are duty-bound to say that however do you get the impression it is sincere and is a world apart from what we have been used to the last few years. I know people feel mistakes have been made by the owner however from my point of view I can handle mistakes when they are made with best intentions and I also think he has done a tremendous amount of good for our club in the short time he has owned us. I do genuinely think we have been really lucky to find such an owner in an age when clubs seem to be taken over by what at times feel anonymous and detached individuals.

Or is there some kind of penalty fee paid to us for each game if they don't play him?1 -

Wished Thomas would step back a bit though. Bonkers thing to say after Roland but to me there is a balance.Like an office big boss who doesn’t know that for a team night out you have a drink and then leave everyone to crack on, he needs to learn to detach a bit from the football side of things even if he is personally loving being so involved.22
