People are just saying he is tactically astute, knows how to get the best out of players and is the right man for the job.cafcdave123 said:

He’s a decent human being, just not a very good football manager.

Agree with all of this.paulfox said:
Yes I agree, I’ve not enjoyed the we want Adkins out/ sacked in the morning chants, feels really uncomfortable with him. I do think he needs to go as the relationship with the fans is irreparable and to be quite blunt he’s not doing a good job. He’s a good fella and it’s no fun reading and hearing the abuse. It’s football, sadly it’s not working, so everyone should move on with our best wishes.let the next man have a go.Valley11 said:It’s absolutely right that he’s let go.But some of the stuff being put out on social media is out of order.

But the table tells us the truth. And so do the disjointed team performances.
I've no doubt you tried your best, Nigel.
But the season is fast becoming a train wreck and something has to quickly change. And I'm afraid, that's you.

get curbs in as dof and to replace roddy, sack adkins and bring mick marcathy in - let roddy be a consultant to advise on the plans for the academy upgrade but get him away from the coaching set up, recruitment or anything else he can damage - chuck the black box and review gallen's position - ASAP2

If he’s in charge tomorrow and at training then he will be in charge this SaturdayDDOUBLEE said:7 -
But they didn't say that his job was safe or anything, so pretty clear he's not staying. So why not announce something at least?0

Maybe they have sacked him and are agreeing compensation, legal stuff etc before announcing it?

I know I should just switch off and not pay attention until something is mentioned, but just starting to feel a bit like we are becoming a circus again.0

Full time, Charlton Life 0-1 Nigel AdkinsDDOUBLEE said:
Charlton Life started brightly, with confident predictions early on that Nigel could be gone by 5pm, but as the clicked ticked past 5pm, they had to change formation and play for 6pm instead.Charlton Life played @ButtleJR up top as a lone front man, mirroring Adkins preferred system that has seen the addicks struggle, with only 2 wins in 13 and lead for calls for his dismissal and this subsequent thread.
as the minutes ticked by it became clear Charlton Life had no alternative to buttle Jr, and long-standing forum members like @Dazzler21 showed his frustration by storming off to put his pretend kids to bed, claiming if nothing happened by 7pm he was done with the thread.
News broke at 6.59pm that Palace fan @LouisMend doesn’t expect Charlton Life will be celebrating the removal of Adkins anytime tonight, and posters stood down, meandering back to other threads, depending on their personal interests.

And no confirmation either, that Adkins is keeping his job.DDOUBLEE said:
Not even a vote of confidence.
With all the rampant speculation, the club must quickly resolve this situation.
And make an announcement at the earliest opportunity.

As has been said, Adkins either takes training tomorrow or he doesn't. If he doesn't we will hear of it.3
-
we'll know tomorrow but I really cant see how they can justify giving him more time unless its purely for financial reasons0

If we are keeping him on because of financial reasons, then the fans really do need to be told what's going on.CH4RLTON said:we'll know tomorrow but I really cant see how they can justify giving him more time unless its purely for financial reasons
Otherwise I can see demos in the near future.
