Not content with cutting half of the NXT producers, they've now cut Samoa Joe, again

He'll walk straight into any of the other companies, as long as he can stay healthy he's a star, a wonderful talker and a phenomenal wrestler

When he first left, before Bryan and Punk were confirmed in AEW I did wonder if it would be possible to do a series of 1 fight cards between the 3 of them.

Beyond the headline this is 100% how I feel watching it.

Dynamite was great again this week. Loved that Page/Danielson match.

The sour note being Ray Fenix’s injury (broken arm). I saw a clip online - not pretty at all.

Jesus. That women’s tag match on Rampage was brutal.
I prefered Satomura v Davenport on NXT:UK this week. Pretty sure the girls were laughing at the end whilst laying on the smashed table.

I haven’t watched NXT UK in quite a while, simply couldn’t handle the behind closed doors stuff (with the exception of Walter vs Draganov of course).

Is it still set up with no fans in attendance?

Some fans in attendence. Similar to NXT during the pandemic before the 2.0 nonsense.

Mickie James being in the Rumble is interesting, not because she's interesting in any way, but because she's currently Impact's Knockouts world champion, and was described as such on WWE programming.

If this is the start of the forbidden door stuff for WWE, who will they try and get for the men's Rumble?

It's because they released everyone and don't have enough people for 2 rumbles....

I think the reason to have competition has actually gone away some what.  The issue, although probably doesn't effect Impact as much, is do USA, Fox and TBS want their product on another channel?  Throw in the cock (NBC) and you have a bit of a problem.

When selling tickets and PPVs is no longer your core business model you become a content provider, not a live events business.  It's the same with the "big 6" in football now.

If they are going to continue with 2 day wrestlemanias they are back to a stadium needing a card, as opposed to a card needing a stadium.

Would have been interesting some years ago but Impact is dead. They had AEW stars fighting over their world title last year.

Funnily enough their main angle at the moment appears to now be ROH wrestlers crashing the scene and disrupting things.

They also had the invasion storylines a few years ago with GFW (remember them?) So it's a well that Impact seem to go to a lot, particularly when they seem to be dying

Foley goes into it in detail on one of his DVDs.  Vince didn't believe that Cactus Jack would mean anything to anyone by then, as he hadn't been on TV for about 5 years.  HHH and JR (I think) convinced him they could pull it off.

In the 1st clip, it was about 6 months after I started watching "live", Heenan makes that, he and gorilla were at thier peek around then.

Heenan was one of a kind. Worth watching Royal Rumble '92 just for his commentary, it's also the best Rumble ever.

I watch the 92RR every year, although I actually think they were even better at mania 8, especially during the 2 title matches.

If you subscribe to addfreeshows sub prime guy is doing a live watch along with his father in law for the 30th anniversary of the greatest night in the history of our sport.

Unfortunately Marty won't be there as he had already escaped by jumping through the barber shop window.

7, I think, WWE/F world champions and only a handful who did not hold gold of some kind including Snuka, Hacksaw, Jake the snake and Skinner (one half of one of the greatest tag teams ever and the man that nearly got the Backland title run in the 70/80s).  Brett and Owen weren't even there.....
