  • I take back my lost in the shuffle remark. 😉
  • 23 years ago, still the loudest pop ever.

  • I think the CM Punk return pop runs it close!

Don't think the 42k that attended Nitro that night has been beaten for a TV show?

The CM Punk pop was huge, but would have been better had it not been so expected.

Then again, I appreciate that in this day and age it had to be given a build in order to bring in the rating.

My favourite pop is in the main event of Backlash (2000 or 2001) when Austin interferes in the main event of HHH/Rock.

Other notable ones include Y2J’s first title win which was overturned the same night against HHH, and Jon Moxley’s debut at AEW’s first PPV.

I think that was nitro's 2nd highest ever attendance after the Goldberg Hogan one 6 months before.  Both in atlanta.  Not sure if they were both bigger than Saturday night RAW from the Skydome?
  • Rampage starts on Tuesday, ITV 4.
  • Day 1 isn't going well.....
  • I see Lesnar is champion for the thousandth time.

    How exciting zzzzzz

    I am a heel, mother f*@%er:wink:

I'm all seriousness if I had booking Brock I would have made a over arching title and had him as the champion for years.  Book him like a heavy weight boxer.
  • Putting a belt on Brock makes sense.

But not that belt, at this time.

He's been a baby-face against Reigns, they should have been building up that even more, have Reigns cheat to win, get the Bloodline involved, stretch it through Royal Rumble, maybe even Wrestlemania, make it a feud for the ages, culminating in a Marquee match at Summerslam or Survivor Series. Reigns being out of Day 1 should have just delayed the process by a month, send him out there and destroy The Usos in a handicap match, just chucking them around, give them a reason to get involved in future matches
  • Brock was champ for ages and it was boring. Big E like Kofi had being deserving of a title run for years, sigh.

Also Reigns v Lesnar was probably fued of the year 2020. 😕

Lesnar the real person and the character they created makes him almost impossible to book.

Paul Hyman was the feud of the year, those two were just his props :-)
  • Have a feeling that Lesnar could lose the title at the Rumble - maybe via some sort of Roman Reigns interference - in order to bring that match back.

Don’t think they will drop that angle that easily. But then again, it’s WWE who have a history of being incapable of running with storylines that have any promise.
  • Jesus. That women’s tag match on Rampage was brutal.

Just watched NXT for the 1st time in over a year. I think Bron Breakker will be the next huge star in WWE. Probably WWE champion within a year

Breakker beats Lesner at mania 2023.

  • Would recommend the interview Scotty 2 Hotty did on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast this week. He was working at the performance centre for quite a few years up until recently.

Was interesting to hear him talk about how he and Brian Christopher were never that close outside the ring. They were purely a TV duo, but very little relationship other than that until their later years before Christopher’s death.
  • WWE cutting William Regal is one of the craziest decisions in all their crazy cutting decisions recently.

The guy basically created The Four Horsewomen of WWE, gave people like Gargano, Ciampa, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and a whole load more a chance to shine and showcase their talents to a greater audience. Not to mention the fact that I have never seen a bad word spoken about him.

Tony Khan could do a lot worse than pick him up, depends how well he gets on with Cody I guess but he would be a massive asset to AEW
  • The Following have been Released by WWE and Confirmed by Fightful ...

    Timothy Thatcher

    Danny Burch

    Scott Armstrong

    Hideki Suzuki of Diamond mine

Cathy Corino, also known as Allison Danger

I think Regal is 1 of the worst of all the cuts. He Pretty much was NXT.

The amount of cuts they've made is weird

  • Quite a lot going on over night!

    Seriously need a 3rd promotion.

AEW desperately need agents that are as good as their top talents to produce the "other segments", more than they need in ring guys.  WWE have just handed them them.

Really looking foward to watching last night's show.  I did notice that FTR beat to local job guys on evolution 😳
  • With the amount of talent swimming around right now, recently cut or not getting any screen time in WWE and AEW, ROH on a hiatus, now would be the perfect time for someone like Impact to step their product back up and get some serious investment behind them with a proper TV deal, but I don't think it will happen

There's definitely enough talent available for a 3rd promotion to thrive, but they'd need financial backing & I don't think Impact will get it

Someone needs to find away for guys to earn a living by not being on TV or YouTube.  It's been a problem for 20 years now.

AEW has benifited from Omega, Jerricho, Moxley and a lesser extent Page being off TV then coming back even if it is a case of when not if.
