123-9
Wood 11 (7) b Cummins0 -
At tea when I was reading about taking the extra half hour I didnt think it would be the Aussies having to make that decision.
And as I type Wood goes & the extra half hour wont even be needed.0 -
If it wasn't so tragic it would be funny. It's just like watching Charlton.
Inept in every aspect3 -
124 all out
Robinson 0 (1) b Cummins
Australia win by 146 runs and 4-0.0 -
A ridiculous, sorry pathetic collapse
I didn't think we'd make the chase, but expected us to at least be in with a shot at stumps tonight
Boland yesterday did a great job at nightwatchman, Robinson by contrast backed away so far, he nearly trod on the square leg umpire's toes3 -
68-0
then
56-100 -
What a collapse that is! I’m almost impressed4
-
68-0
56-10
124 all out
Don't think it's unfair to say this has been absolutely pathetic!0 -
We get them 12/3 and then can't capitalise & let them get shed loads.
On the other hand we get to 68/0 and then collapse to be all out for only 60 more.
Absolutely abysmal.0 -
The opening partnership achieved over half our runs FFS0

A few years ago we were getting 400 in an innings.
Last year we could only get to 300 twice
This series we can't even get to 200.0 -

Can only imagine how much extra embarrassment there would be if the opening stand only lasted a couple of overs. We’re lucky they put some runs on the board or we’d have ended the tour with a 60.
Lost nine wickets in just over half a session. Incredibly really.1 -
Easily the worst England side I have seen since at least the 90’s. The very sad thing is there is little hope for any improvement in the near or even longer future with the contempt shown by the ECB to the longer form of the game.2
-
And we only avoided a 5-0 whitewash due to rain. If there had been 5 full days of 90 overs on each day then we would have lost. The last pair in the 4th Test wouldn't have lasted another 30 mins.1

They looked like they were in a rush to get home. No chance of them ever playing for pride.0
-
WTF ?
Went out at 9-20ish, 80-1.
Got home, all out.
I know England are prone to a collapse, but, really, WTF ?1 -

I think if you are on a central contract then you are contracted to play for England (and your county) and no-one else.
Play IPL then fine, but don't expect to play for England.
Something has to change.1 -

Mark my words this will only change IF there is a change of culture from the ECB to the England side and through to the Counties. I have been absolutely staggered by what I've seen going on in age group County cricket, as I first mentioned at least two years ago, but this has been driven by the ECB and money. If you just train on hitting the ball, opening up angles, playing 360 etc etc, you will get what you deserve - some very good hitters of a white ball that stops moving after two or three overs for batsmen who know that they won't get caught at slip or gully even if they edge the ball and also players who can't play straight and wouldn't know what a "leave" looked like if it smacked them in the face!

Oh the irony of what Cummins has just said "we had some real hard decisions as to who to leave out". So did we!0

Pathetic bottlers and a completely useless bunch of losers.Yet another pathetic collapse from this bunch of tossers. This test team needs needs a complete clearout.0

You can sympathise with the players wanting to get away as soon as possible because this tour has been a shambles from start to finish but some of those latter wickets today were an absolute disgrace. It was almost like they were deliberately getting dismissed to wrap the game up tonight and get home early which is an absolutely appalling attitude.

I wonder what dear old Bob Willis would have to say.4

Listening to BT Sport & Mark Butcher talks a load of sense.
Planning for the Ashes over the summer & then start the first Test with bowlers who've not been picked together before.
Only 7 partnerships over 50 during the entire Series.2 -
Look, this Australian bowling line up are superb; makes me proud to be from a family of Convicts from Bermondsey.
Look, we now need to follow Golf and the next time we tour Australia it's the best players from Europe; it works in the Ryder Cup.
Look, The French spinner Jambe Avant Guichet deserves a chance and the Dutch Opener Van Stenen Muur must be given a Chance
Australia v Europe is the way forward.
G'day Mate.0
