Can’t really wrap my head around the fact that gilbey has been dropped last few games. Dobson aside he has been our best player every week8

Sunderland 1-0 Pompey

Need more overlapping runs. Gettting Clare or Morgan around DJ and just now CBT needed to help Lee out. We can get overloads out wide if we do that and we have caused some problems with crosses.2

HT 0-00

Famewo with an absolutely baffling long ball with his right foot under no pressure. Straight to the keeper.1

I don't want to spoil it but:Arsenetatters said:The 'live' streaming is so far behindClive gets his hat-trick and we go on to win on pens.

Let's hope we can see the return of Washington and Gilbey second half, and ffs Jacko read this lot the riot act or this could be yet another loss, slightly better last 20, but this is just not good enough, over to The Covered End to do their bit and be our twelfth man..

since JJ became permanent the only player to not drop off in performance is Dobson, the best player in red by a mile. God knows what’s happened since he got the job. There was no rush to make it happen and here we are.🤷🏻♂️6

Washington can potentially make a difference here. Burstow been very quiet again.5

That was utter rubbish.
What happened to that high tempo team Jacko had for his first ten games.
Hoofing it to the wings might be good for under 11s in the 1970s but not now.7 -
Really, I like him but he's been poor. Poor final ball, counter-attacks breaking down around him, offered nothing going forwards. I think he deserved to be dropped, the problem is, Morgan is not better.Covered_End_Lad said:Can’t really wrap my head around the fact that gilbey has been dropped last few games. We are never going to get out of this league when we look bereft of ideas when we come up against any team that is organised, plays compact and can break well on the turn over off play.
Because that’s pretty much every team in the league. Fuck knows what we do on the training ground to work on alternative ways through the thirds apart from ping a long diagonal.1 -
Dobson is class, the rest look bang average so far. Lee a shadow for the past month.7
-
It's not the right player being rotated. It should be Lee or Morgan not Lee and Morgan.Chunes said:

Utter shite. Freebie in the West Upper and wishing I hadn't bothered. As Albert Steptoe once said "flat as a witches tit" Players need to take a long hard look at themselves. Si many of them look totally disinterested. It's Powell's first season in league one all over again

Yeah Id make the change... Sadly our Strikers might as well be artists, and have been asked to create the next masterpiece, yet havent been given paint or brushes.Exiled_Addick said:Washington can potentially make a difference here. Burstow been very quiet again.0 -
sad state of affairs when i'm hoping the likes of Wycombe and Burton can do us a favour.1

Washington and Stockley crucial to Jacko’s first 12 games. Neither have been fit to play since he became permanent manager. I think maybe this is the problem.grumpyaddick said:That was utter rubbish.

Morgan has been behind some of our better moves but when they break on us he is nowhere to be seen1

In his defence, he's been an ever present in the side since coming back from long COVID, guy said himself it took it out of him.
Needed a rest and getting it, but fuck me, we miss him.
Dobson - Watson: really didn't workDobson - Clare didn't work
Dobson - Morgan: really isn't working
Dobson - Gilbey works.
Dobson - Gilbey - Morgan: might, yes Morgan has been dire as a 10 but that was with a poor central midfield combo behind him, give him a chance in front of Dobson and Gilbey.
And I'm far from a Morgan supporter and saying this1 -
Oh shit I genuinely forgot he was playing.Exiled_Addick said:Washington can potentially make a difference here. Burstow been very quiet again.0 -
Need the hairdryer treatment. Hope Skivo doing the honours0
-
Gilbey on for Morgan please. Famewo to stop playing long balls please.1
-
We came into the game more the final 15 minutes, Jackson changed something the way we set up when possession is at the back three with Clare pushing forward a bit more.
Inniss and Famewo are poor ball playing defenders which makes it so hard for us when the oppo lets us have possession like today. They can't really pass it further than 15 yards and lack confidence in possession to dribble it out and create the extra man in midfield. Let Fleetwood make the difficult decisions on who to mark instead of us now mainly hoofing up to Aneke.1 -
Indeed at least Washos movement allowed for an alternative pass forwards.EveshamAddick said:

But it’s not good enough, you can’t talk about working on the in possession stuff in training, when there’s clearly no other plan on the day apart from knowing that our wing backs will occasionally break the lines and create chances1
