Good start to the year for you.0 -
Sunny and mild up at Ally Pally today, what a start to the year. Now let’s get the three points0
-
Dartford heath for me this morning. Was a nice run, 26mins. Aiming this year to get back in the 21's after some injuries and lack of training. And to get close to earning 50 parkrun milestone, currently on 19.3

Southwark today, nice and handy Surrey Quays station right next to the park. Also meet a Charlton family who were off to the match today.0

Well that was super busy, gonna have to put my appalling time down to the “bunching up at the start” unless I can think of a better excuse 🤷♂️1

Loads of first-timers in the 196 at Charlton today. Seems to be a bit of a belated new year boost all round.0

Had a really shite week so sacked this off for golf this morning. Mentally I needed my pals taking the piss out of me for 4hrs instead of a half hour solo run.Back next week so no doubt it will be raining!0

Was marshalling at the Boat House at Bexley yesterday...seemed busy to me...was wearing my CAFC beanie and got a few 'Up The Addicks'... Good to see @Hillsys Up putting the effort in.2

Perfect morning for a Parkrun this morning. Who got out and where?
Good to bump into @WSS over Avery Hill0 -
I managed to complete Swanley this morning in roughly 36.5 mins having had to give up after 4k last week. I think my recovery from a back injury is taking a bit longer then expected. I guess it's an age thing.3

Did a 7k yesterday morning which @DaveMehmet joined for a bit.Today was a rest day so walking to The Valley instead.3

Still haven't done a park run but have kept my lockdown running going since Dec 2020. It was ideal running conditions this morning, managed a PB of 17 miles which got very uncomfortable at the end but I'm edging towards marathon distance.
Feels like now or never for a full marathon so think I'll sign up for the Magna Carta marathon in Surrey in April.
I'll probably do the Dartford half in March as prep (of course wearing a Charlton shirt for both).

Another 1m 53 off of my 5k PB today. Only managed first sub 30min in December, im absolutely buzzing as I wasn't really trying for a PB at all.5 -
Wouldn't normally run 2 days in a row but was feeling good this am. Just knocked 6 mins off of my 10k pb and managed sub 1hour for the first time.

The 5k run I posted the day before is 5.01.... again due to manual stop, I definitely need an update now that I'm doing this semi seriously.0 -

I'm not exactly trying to qualify for team GB, so the odd .01 either side makes very little difference most of the time, to anything other than OCD.

Sorry @shine166 I was only joking. I ran 5k once and stopped almost dropped dead when it clicked over to 5k, then when i ended the exercise and looked at my stats and it said 4.99 and i wanted to cry!
