Sadly missing this one.  Normally try and fit holidays around home games - but am off to Tenerife at 13:55 - so hoping I land to a win! 2-1.

You know they will turn up with a team of classic League One big lumps, who will try to bully and harass our players and stop us playing. We just need to try and overcome that and bully them back.

I think we can hold our own physically, but it always feels like it's us that get penalised by the wanky ref..
I'm sure I'm being myopic but it feels that way.

Bashed them 5-2 last season.......the one game I actually managed to go to. On that basis, last season was my most successful ever!

If we don't win this, the realists will be reminding the optimists that the play offs were never on. If we do, three wins on the bounce and the optimists may become even more optimistic. I suspect Wimbledon will seek to frustrate us and it will be a question of getting that opening goal.

Whatever the result, someone will be moaning.
  • I hope Fraser starts in place of Albie (not that Albie deserves to be dropped after recent performances), but would like to see how he fits in to our system. I would also be tempted to start with DJ in place of Matthews and Purrington in place of CBT (who was excellent against Portsmouth). I would have CBT and Morgan coming on from the bench. Not sure if we will see our loanees for this game. Purrington will be up for it against his old club and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he scored. I don't know why, but I think we will score early and comfortably win this one.

Of course. And somebody will be bellyaching about people moaning  ;)

I dont expect us to make play offs but all I want from my team is effort and if we pick up some good results then that is enough until we have another crack at it next year.

However, this attached quote is how I am approaching the rest of the season. I enjoy going to watch Charlton and even though its a rollercoaster at times! Its a great relief on a Saturday to enjoy with loadsa things going on!

Got two phone calls from Conor Washington last night asking me to go to the game on Saturday. He was a bit abrupt I have to say. I started to wish him well and the bugger hung up.

I've predicted 2-0 to Charlton., which is often the kiss of death.

Loved the 5-2 last year! Doubt it’ll be as much fun tomorrow.
Would start CBT as he’ll be full of confidence after Monday, and Matthews too.
Fraser for Morgan if fit, or else why buy him.
Will Mason start? I’d certainly expect him to.
3-1, and the optimists will be getting the calculators out.

  • Should sneak this one. The wombles lost Palmer and I am not sure about his loan replacement  a great big lump. No time for the Dons, hope we stuff them but probably not, 1-0 to the Addicks.
  • We need to show the same effort and endeavour we showed against Portsmouth to win. Less than that and they will make it a tough match.
Got a feeling we will get our third win in a row.

The current AFC Wimbledon aren't a physical hoofball side, they've got a young manager who wants to play a passing style with youngsters.
  • I don't see any reason to change the Pompey starting 11. We don't need to throw the new signings straight in, not after a decent win.

We have 2 midweek games this month, so plenty of chances to rotate the side.

There is a lot to be said for not changing a winning team and JJ has said if you get the shirt and perform you keep it.
He HAS to stick with this as it is the fair and proper way to do things.
New signings should be introduced from the bench. Those on the field had better been doing very well to keep their place before being substituted.
That is the way you get a performance IMO.

    Good preview mate, thank you.

Agree that it has to be the same starting 11. Each and every one of them had a good game in their own right. It was the best we’ve played for a while.

Fraser will be on the bench and I would anticipate Burstow to be also. I’d like to see John included but just can’t see who will come out the squad for him right now.

Wimbledon are on a poor run of games without a win and were knocked out the FA Cup by a non-league side, albeit one who are doing well. However, what they’re not doing is losing many games. They’ve drawn 6 of their last 9 in the league. But, they’ve been playing Saturday-Tuesday now for a couple of weeks and with a small squad and our home form pretty good under Jackson, I fully expect the 3 points to remain in SE7.

Oh, and only the 2nd time this season we score more than 2 goals in a game.

    3-0 winners.

Is aneke fot to start? He looked a bit agg when he came off possibly due to a hamstring tweak.

I think burstow will start with chucks on the bench.

Be surprised if there is no place for the loan in boys on the bench but if inniss is also fit to play, can’t see why they would replace players who did well at Pompey unless anything new needs a rest or has trained badly.

Here we have it , with our mouthwatering humdinger of a London derby , one of the highlights of the season, if your not up for this then League One complete shitness  and obscurity is not the place for your football club .

2-0 victory and the banter and work place bragging rights will be ours all over the South East of nowhere till we meet again next month , oh such joy
Dear oh dear.  What a load of tosh.

Some of us just accept mediocrity
    Fixed for you
    How kind.
However some of us don't have to solely rely on a bunch of strangers to bring any success or positivity into our lives.
    Feel free to fix that.

    You called...?  😊

Looking forward to seeing Fraser play & dont expect many changes apart from Fraser for Morgan and maybe one of the new loanees.

Now Pigott has left surely we can win this one.

    2-0

Why drop Morgan when he's been better than Gilbey of late?

If for sake of Fraser, he can play Gilbey's role with more end product.
