    I see he played 77 minutes and got 2 assists in a 2-2 friendly v Rangers last week.

    So looks like he hasn't lost any of his magic touch

    Played the full game against Norwich today... Great come back story for him.

    Wonder if he might end up at somewhere like Newcastle next season

    I thought Brentford were heading for possible relegation just before Eriksen signed.
    They are now comfortably mid table.

    We also thought brentford were on the slide CE, he certainly had a positive impact on the club.

    Ukrainian and Danish players gathered together after Christian Eriksen left the field of play. 

    Denmark statement reads: "Christian Eriksen is conscious and feeling well according to the circumstances. The match has been called off."

    Perhaps it might be time for Eriksen to call it a day.
    Hopefully he is on the mend very quickly.

    Agree. Appreciate the career you've had. TBH I thought this after the first incident and was very surprised to see him playing again. The Italian FA don't allow players with such condition and I think that's pure common sense. Enjoy your life with your family.

    Eriksen has an implanted cardioverter defibrillator fitted. Typically there is a short delay after a cardiac arrest before they deliver a shock. My daughter’s one has a 30 second delay. I suspect this is what happened here and why he was able to walk off the pitch. They are very effective as they deliver a shock very soon after arrest and directly to the heart rather than through muscle and ribcage like external defibs. Hopefully his recovery should be pretty good with such a short downtime, but perhaps it’s time for him to hang up his boots.

    Wolfsburg's relegation means he'll likely need to find a new club. At 34, and after yet another serious cardiac incident, I'd personally like to see him retire and enjoy family life. Some things are bigger than football.

    Yes, the device records all heart rhythms, most these days have Bluetooth so they can be connected to an iPad and all the data downloaded. His cardiologists will know exactly what is happening and if this has happened at other times too.

    Retiring at 34 isn't even that young. He's had an incredible career compared to 99.9% of people who want to play football. He even got to play on for five years after literally dying. 

    This decision ought to be taken out of his hands, and perhaps insurance might do that (I am guessing, I don't know how insurance works). I hope it does because it seems crazy to put his family, and the other players through this stuff. Imagine what it would do to a player who goes in too hard on him and somehow causes another incident. Or the trauma the players on the pitch have to go through every time his heart stops. It's getting a bit selfish now.
