Wetherspoons at London Liverpool St was open and serving beer from 7am I believe (I got a pint there at 8am), and there were already plenty of Charlton in there drinking - I got cans for the train, and was surprised to find the away pub by the station open and serving at 10am - indeed Police actively encouraging going in thereclb74 said:

Sheffield Wednesday away we went via Doncaster.
Leeds were at home to Spurs , we caught about the 7pm train home from Donny there were plenty of Leeds and Spurs looking the worse for wear.
So yep, I had many beers, but did I cause trouble, throw a smoke bomb, destroy the toilets - nope I did not - I watched 75 mins of Charlton playing crap, went to station, got on train, and some other Addicks were kind enough to give me a can of lager - quick beer at the Wetherspoons at Liverpool St to debate how crap we are / what’s the solution etc - atmosphere was good
Then it was time to go home and fall asleep in front of the snooker - nice day out, apart from that 75 mins !!!6 -

Smashing up the toilets is shameful.
There may also be psychological challenges like Chronic neurotic encopresis.
Chronic neurotic encopresis (CNE), a childhood psychiatric disorder characterized by inappropriate fecal soiling, necessitated the formation of the following specific etiological factors: a) a neurologically immature developmental musculature, an organic condition which may complicate toilet training; b) premature or harsh toilet training; c) a family constellation in which the father is frequently absent and the mother erratic, emotionally inappropriate, and distant; d) the child's formation of a noncommunicative, passive, dependent personality. All of these factors are helpful in explaining the occurrence of CNE, which is thus seen as the result of a synergistic interaction among them. The complexity of etiological agents dictates a multifactorial rather than unicausal model of mental illness. Future research and tactics of psychotherapeutic intervention should focus on the interplay among these factors rather than attempting to single out one primary predisposing factor.

What’s especially worrying is that the morons that do such things don’t just turn into fuckwits when watching Charlton. They are out and about amongst us all the time. The thought about what else they find amusing to get up to is frightening.0

The fans in the pub garden slaughtering absolutely anyone who walked across the bridge was pretty strange as well. Even found myself on the end of about 20 Charlton fans chanting “you fat bastard” for no reason.Some people must have very little happiness in their lives to think the best way to fill a void is to vandalise toilets and abuse anyone in sight. But it’s been a bit of a theme with a portion of our away support this season.

We have / had a good reputation as a decent club and decent fans, but we will lose that if this behaviour continues and gets worse
I know all clubs have supporters who are like this, but ours is growing - I mean what on earth is the point of smashing up the toilets when Charlton are getting tonked - indeed smashing up toilets at all, in any circumstances in any situation1 -
It also results in moved kick off times etc I can’t see Pompey being a 3pm on a Saturday again. The singing about Steven Wright killing peoples mums was ott also0

The FA, Premier League and EFL are together introducing new measures and stronger sanctions across the game to tackle the increased anti-social and criminal behaviours recently seen within football grounds and underline the importance of a safe matchday environment.
The new set of actions, which will be implemented across all English football leagues from the start of Season 2022/23 and backed by the Football Supporters’ Association, will target activity such as entering the pitch without permission, carrying or using smoke bombs or pyrotechnics and throwing objects - as well as drug use and discriminatory behaviour.
These acts are dangerous, illegal and have severe consequences. They have no place in football, or anywhere.
From the start of Season 2022/23, all identified offenders will be reported by clubs to the police and prosecution could result in a permanent criminal record, which may affect their employment and education, and could result in a prison sentence. The FA will also be enforcing a tougher charging and sanctioning policy for clubs, which will reinforce these measures.
Furthermore, anyone who enters the pitch and those identified carrying or using pyrotechnics or smoke bombs will now receive an automatic club ban. These bans could also be extended to accompanying parents or guardians of children who take part in these activities.

It takes away any discretion from clubs and takes no account of the circumstances.
