Denly's first 50 in a year
79-1 off 92 -
50 up for Denly. Always rated that man7
-
110-1 off 11
Much more like it1 -
Denly 100 off 50 balls!7
-
149-1 off 141
-
Cox out for 45 off 34. Denly 105* (48). 158-2 off 15. Enters The Linde!0
-
Linde gone for a single and we are stuttering a bit when we should be going up a gear0
-
Denly out for 110
166-4 off 16.41 -
192-8 off 20
A decent score but, at 158-2 off 15 overs, we might have got anything up to the 220 mark1 -
Fantastic innings by Denly. Only he and Cox got in so pitch might still be a tricky one. Disappointing to not reach 200 but much improved on recent efforts.4

Fair play , JD. Didn’t see that coming1
-
Even we can't lose from here0
-
Middx finish on 137-7 so Kent win by 55 runs3
-
Phew ! A victory at long last !
Fair play to our Joe who looked back to his best. Plus a great supporting role from Jordan.
Thought our bowlers on the whole AND our fielding was much improved too.
LOVING Qais ! Great spell & fielding well too - all with such enthusiasm & a smile on his face !
Let's hope this continues at Chelmsford on Tuesday.

Really enjoyed that and finally got to see a win - winning streak to take us through to finals day now please!7

Kent sign yet another bowler, Kiwi Jacob Duffy on a short-term contract for 2 Championship matches. In their test squad but hasn't played yet (and will be behind the likes of Wagner and Henry)1 -
Bird leaving, injuries to Gilchrist, Stevens and Podmore and form of Milnes means this makes sense pending Henry's arrival in the second half of the season.killerandflash said:https://www.kentcricket.co.uk/news/duffy-joins-kent-for-championship-stint/?utm_source=Kent County Cricket Club&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=13257217_JD&dm_i=1NLC,7W5C1,AH71TZ,W8JSV,1

Really don't know if I can face following the text's again even after our long awaited win. For those who wanted the football season to end to enjoy the cricket, this is really just a follow on of the 21-22 Charlton season.
And I thought we had a squad that would push on from last season, in an upwards direction....0 -
Denly has been ruled out of tonight's game through illness and is replaced by Muyeye. The only change.
Essex won the toss and have put us in.0 -
Finally in our seats after a fairly liquid afternoon.0 -
This evening's updates are brought to you in association with Hobgoblin, Abbot, and Captain Morgan.7
-
Oof, Muyere dropped at mid off.
Difficult chance, dropping just in front.
Next ball edged/glanced for four.0 -
Piss weak from DBD, edged behind for a blob.
4-1 after 1 over.0 -
Oh dear! DBD out for another duck0
-
The good thing about this pokey old ground?
Any kind of edge goes for a boundary.1 -
DBD this season in the Blast - 12, 31, 0, 7, 3, 0 and 0. So just 10 runs in his last five innings and a season's average 7.57 from seven innings.0
-
It's typical of this season that Denly is kept in the side, game after game despite desperately struggling, but when it finally clicks and he's back to his best, he's then ill the next game.Addick Addict said:Denly has been ruled out of tonight's game through illness and is replaced by Muyeye.
