A very generic squad list that, seeing that it includes Henry, Leaburn and Clayden

I do like the look of that second half side even with Mcgrandles,Egbo and Dobson missing. Be interesting to see how that 3 of Henry,JFC and Fraser sets up. Would guess JFC will hold.
To me that's the most interesting thing of tonight.  I would guess Henry in the middle, Fraser on the left and JFC on the right.

You could make the argument that they are our 3 best pure "footballers" out of all the midfield options.
I'd have thought JFC would be central and deeper, with Henry and Fraser the more attacking options
    Like I said guess.  Two 6s and a 10?  Two 8s?  A flat 3?

It's the most interesting thing for me and will be up until 2 or 3 games into the season.

Even last season when we only had 3 adult, fit, midfielders we tried different ways of playing.  Then went in to the season with the one that had worked the least well!

I always thought a 433 with attacking full backs would have two central midfield players that sit.

    Henry, JFC
    Fraser

On Saturday Dobson was notably deeper than Morgan and Fraser. Admittedly that was against NLS opposition where you wouldn't need 2 holding players

    Henry, JFC
    Fraser
Exactly the role Fraser flopped in at Ipswich.

Garner played a 6 and two 8s at Swindon, with a deep lying play maker as opposed to a stopper.

On the evidence so far I expect Fraser to play either on the left of a flat 3 or the left of 2 8s.

As this is the first match I've streamed this season, my first Addicks to Victory blast for a few months...

Mendez reckons Dobson is being rested. Hasn’t needed a rest so far in a red shirt…

Dont blame him - His back must be in agony after carrying his teammates last season

Dobson just given the night off tonight, nothing sinister as reported on the stream, players being rotated, minutes on the pitch nothing else, and BG just shuffling things a bit tonight..

Yes, he needs a good rest after an hour of pre-season , really?

Christ we dont even have a Charlton Commentary team tonight.

TS must be skint with all the money he's wasted throwing it @ CharltonTV

The skipper is an interesting thing as well.  Didn't Powell chuck it round like a hot potato before making a big announcement it will be Jackson about 10 days before the start of the season.

Bit odd I agree. Players normally need the minutes to get up to fitness

I really hope Morgan isnt named Captain... The meltdown will be rather fitting given how warm it is at the moment.

Would be nice for this guy to talk about the game. Should be at a book read and not commentating on football.

Nothing to do with a rest, just a change of line up, that is the purpose of these friendlies, getting game time and finding your best formation..who said a rest ffs

Stockley would have scored from that..

    And that

Set pieces are going to be massive next season.  We really should score from at least 10 more than last season.

I’ve certainly noticed we are more likely to take shots from outside the area. Garner trying to get those stats up.

Looking forward to seeing what this new player for us Diasima can do.

This commentator… Elerewe gets a different pronounciation each time he’s on the ball. Also asked his colleague if he’s commentating on the Millwall friendly 😂
