They had to replace it last summer when they got promoted from the Conference.1 -
That looks like our current starting first 11. And it has too few goals in it.1

The same XI that I said will start come July 30th in the rumours thread, looking strong, look forward to the meltdown when we lose..ForeverAddickted said:

Still nothing delivered by Castore0

Interesting that JFC has been told he can listen to offers, but Garner clearly sees him as ahead of Morgan and Gilbey even with McGrandles injured.ForeverAddickted said:
Makes me feel if he does go we should be looking to strengthen that area of the pitch.2 -
Given that McGrandles and Egbo won’t be fit for the start of the season, that looks close to the starting 11 in a fortnight’s time at Accrington, subject to any injuries in the meantime. Hopefully we’ll get a goalscoring forward and a left back in soon.2
-
Still wonder if the No.1 jersey is that secure... Both Wollacott and Macca have had wobbles this summer.
Guess Jojo will get the full 90mins today (seeing Macca got that long against Colchester) - We'll then find out who the starting Goalkeeper is, come the Swansea game next week - Other than Striker it feels the weakest position in the team.
Maybe I'm just being overly harsh on Wollacott, and given a few weeks, will find his feet with us0 -
JFC is a better player than Morgan or Gilbey, but I doubt he can work in the same 11 as Dobson as they both like lying deep.FishCostaFortune said:

Difficult to base on last season given how shite we were... But felt we looked disorganised the handful of times that JFC and Dobson played together last season, as JFC was trying to do exactly what you say.Southbank said:

Looks like 4-3-3. As has been said before the biggest question is how the three CMs set up. I’d be surprised if the others line up differently.
Wollacott
Clare Inniss O’Connell Sessegnon
Dobson
JFC Fraser
CBT Kirk
Stockley
Second half if we sub on entire team
CM
Ness Lavelle Elerewe Clayden
Gilbey Morgan
Davison Aneke DJ

Which bookie is this with? Ridiculous pricingBR7_addick said:For the punters.
Charlton 1/1
Charlton win & BTTS 3/1
Decent when you consider a) majority of our favoured XI is starting today and b) our last two results (6-1 & 4-2).1 -
Swansea will tell us who Garner sees as our best 11, this team is just the reverse of Tuesday's, to balance game time.
I would imagine more of today's team will be first choice, but not necessarily all.4 -
Bizarre to have odds on a preseason friendly anyway!CAFCsayer said:

I just got Charlton at 21/20 on Skybet. Should be like printing money even if we’re not that good.0

Anyone else got "stream starting soon" with the countdown clock stuck on 14.59 ? Not sure if mine has loaded correctly thats all0

Pretty sure this is who Garner sees as his best 11 as he will want them, particularly the back 4, playing together.killerandflash said:Swansea will tell us who Garner sees as our best 11, this team is just the reverse of Tuesday's, to balance game time.

Indeed. Im hoping to not see JFC back towards the left back this game which frequently seems to happen with him.Southbank said:

You’re not gonna like this if you’re one of the negative Norris’ but the fact that the latter is our second XI shows we are stronger than we have been for a good few years, could we even fill a second XI in the last five years or so.Scoham said:Looks like 4-3-3. Oh no, Dobson is playing - must be an opportunity for him to throw his shirt in the crowd before leaving.11

Looking at the starting line up I can only repeat what we seem to say at the start of every season......
Where are the goals going to come from ? Might be alright beating Dartford & Colchester but League 1 is a tad stronger. Next week against Swansea will be the true test.3
