Sessegnon seems to have won quiet a lot of headers today which has surprised me.

Nothing to do with Swansea. A Charlton wins means we’ll be promoted, a draw mid table and a defeat relegation.

Stockley looks knackered, and just walking around, leaving Leaburn/CBT somewhat isolated, time for some switching up i feel,..Kanu and Leaburn could be interesting... B)

Aa most have said in here Stockley is not the player you want if playing 4-3-3. You need someone good on the floor who can take a touch, take it inside a defender & the finish.

Also; sorry to say, I don't rate Leaburn, esp not in this system. He is not a winger or even  a wide forward. All the play is coming down our left because CBT can run at players. Leaburn looks like what he is.....a raw youngster out of his depth.  He might have pace but from what I've seen he cant dribble or cross.
Do you think we need another striker, Golfie?

At least one. Someone good with their feet. Stockley is ok of you are putting crosses into the box in the air for a 6ft 3 striker to attack with his head, but I dont think that is Garners way. Stockton would be good in thus team from what I saw last season.

And btw. Stockley scored 13 in the league
Despite missing 2 months of the season injured, 3-match suspension plus sitting out many of the first dozen matches of Adkinsball.

Even if the manager chooses to call the formation 4-3-3, do we really have to waste another start to a season finding out that Stockley is not mobile (or good) enough to play, effectively, as a lone striker?

Stockley is not a scapegoat at all. He just can't play football on the floor. His first touch is awful. Great in the air from balls in the box and can hold it up sometimes but doesn't suit tika taka football.

Christ, one poor half and Stockley is a “donkey” all of a sudden. Let’s completely forget the 20 goals he scored in our terrible side last season, shall we?
I am not watching the game this afternoon, but I think we all know what Stockley’s strengths and weaknesses are don’t we? If you want to play a quick passing game with lots of movement you would have to assume he would very likely be a weak link. If you are sending over lots of decent crosses into the box that he can run onto, it’s a different matter.

It’s simply a matter of horses (or donkeys) for courses.

Leaburn showing promise but not ready for League One. Stockley does not fit the system and Aneke a crock.
    Looking good up front.
