I loved volunteering at the Valley although my first three visits cost me a total of £390 in out of pocket expenses.
My final two visits I had £80 expenses reimbursed per visit. When I discovered how staff were being treated I walked away, you couldn’t pay me enough money to work there again.I don’t have a mortgage etc and I fully understand the staff that remain there, but I would hazard a guess 80% are looking elsewhere.7 -

When the EFL call Charlton Towers tomorrow...
"So is there any truth in the rumour you're making available all games on Charlton TV!!!"
"Oh no!"

I doubt there are many involved in football that principles override money these days.

The Gallen stuff and the marketing thing I’ve heard. There is anecdotal evidence of the latter. I won’t give a view on the work permit as it must be defamatory to accuse someone of breaking the law and I don’t know it’s true she is. I am confident she is working - there are multiple witnesses - and that she needs a work permit to do so even unpaid. I would think the lawyer who is a director would be in a difficult position if Raelynn was found to be working in a senior role illegally.
Edit: She wouldn’t of course need a work permit if she is qualified by citizenship but AFAIK she is a US national.19 -
Apologies if I've missed it, but who's Tom Knight? I don't use twitter. Is he/she a Club employee using an anonymous ID to protect him/herself?0

I'm opted out of marketing emails (demanded to be taken off in the Duchatelet days and I was), and haven't had anything so far.0

I have been one of the biggest defenders of TS but with the carry ons lately such as Olly, dubious cost saving measures, failure to finish what was imo a decent window with the final bit of recruitment to seal a chance of promotion by not wanting to spend has swayed me into the far from convinced brigade0 -
Unless the EFL trump the ICO it is unlikely to be a £5m fine for breaching marketing email opt outs. 4% of a company's annual revenue is the max fine that can be levied and usually only in the most serious of cases.
That would put our turnover at £125m per year.
EDIT actually it can be up to £17.5m also it appears but standard is 2% or £8.7m.

Easier to stick to the facts and the reports from multiple sources.
I'm not going to take any whatsapp messaging shared as anything more than hearsay. These things spin out of control and end up making everyone look stupid if not true.10 -

I am undecided about Gallen and how good he is but when his only real successful (in monetary terms) acquisition /trading is Macaulay Bonne after, what, 4-5 years at the club I doubt he will have a huge list of employers prepared to pay him well.
On the other hand, him leaving would leave TS and MS in charge of recruitment and you can forget anything happening in January.0 -
Not sure if it's a sign of incompetence or something more worrying but the video for the Gillingham game was "free" for the first 25 minutes, or so, is someone that doesn't know what they are doing in charge so the blocked countries element just isn't working?
Anyway I'll just wait for the usual suspect to turn up and tell us how Gallen is just deadwood holding Martin’s vision back and that its refreshing how Thomas is standing up to the EFL.0
