My point at it being private is that it was ‘mostly’ for private attendance, unlike the Westminster service.0 -
The whole day has been a wonderful tribute to a much loved Sovereign. The military precision has been incredible, well done to all who took part.7

read that the bearing party were all serving in iraq and were flown back to carry out this duty as members of the queens regiment2

The lowering of the coffin really got to me. I thought they slightly glossed over it for the Duke's funeral, this time they paused to allow it to sink in.1 -

Taking the time today to head 5 minutes down the road to Runnymede to witness this historical moment. Like many have said the last two weeks have done something quite remarkable - there is no such thing as ‘woke’ or ‘anti-woke’. It is just a coming together of all of us to feel proud of our great nation.11

Not really a royalist by any stretch, was moved when she did pass, not really been caught up with it all,did watch abit of the queue stuff, didn’t really plan to watch today but…I have sat from 10am this morning & literally been engrossed, entranced & emotional over the course of the whole day,it’s been an incredible sight & my life what a deserved & abso awesome send off, lots of moments caught me out tearfully but, need to mention the bearers they were on spot wow, done not just themselves & the Royal family proud but the whole country…the whole military operation from the footmen to the bands…I’m welling up thinking it about it again…I could go on with the plaudits but we have all witnessed it & will all have your own special memories of today…RIP Our Queen,Long Live The King

A true piece of history watching that today and fitting tribute to our wonderful Queen. For a small island nation nobody does ceremony like us.9

A nice shot on the news of the King and Queen of Spain waiting for their shuttle bus after the service.
From a PR point of view back home for most of these leaders and heads of state, it's probably no bad thing anyway, to be seen "slumming it"1 -
I did enjoy Biden being held up as the parade of hero’s (MC and VC medal holders) passed in front of him.2

Incidentally, at age 73 (irrespective of how fit you are), you only have so much energy in the tank.Stress and high emotion also drains that tank even more. IMHO, from what I saw of him after the Windsor service, Charles needs to get to his bed ASAP and stay there for as long as is practically possible.3 -
