It doesn't work like that. Teams can also be deducted points for not bowling their overs at the required rate (16 overs per hour). For each over below the required rate, teams will be deducted one point from their Championship total - one point for one over, two points for two overs, etc.Todds_right_hook said:

There are too many at the moment because Somerset and Yorkshire can still go down too. Things will become clearer once their games are finished but it is ridiculous that we have won three matches and yet Yorkshire are above us and have only won one - that's because we've lost more and picked up so few bonus points when we've drawn and lost.Lordflashheart said:
