Glad Rak-Sakyi got the winner, but got he was shit and that will be reflected in the marks from me.Keep it up Jes!
Great assist from the byline by Payne on his right foot. Another good cameo from him.Unusually I got prediction right with Campbell for CBT, and I thought he looked very good indeed.13 -

Callumcafc said:We were so hard to read early on this season because we were drawing so many games. Were we good or were we bad?The season was on a prolonged knife edge because of so many draws. People say it takes 10 games to figure out how good you are but it’s taken us a handful of extra games this season.I almost lost faith in us after the horrendous result at Barnsley. That was the first time heads went down on the pitch and I thought the results were going to turn from draws into defeats.
But since then we’re now five unbeaten, three clean sheets in four and were making the teams behind us nervous. Everything is looking positive, and the coaching staff have to take massive credit.
Garner is a very good manager who won’t be at this level for more than a couple of seasons.
I didn’t think we were bad this season at least until the Bolton to Barnsley run where it did start to feel like the wheels were coming off a bit - though even then I was still encouraged by our patterns of play and what we were trying to do.But just like we shouldn’t be having massive meltdowns when we don’t win a few, and by golly there were loads on here - we shouldn’t get too carried away with a few wins either.
Dont pick up at least 4 points from our next 2 and then this little run will be wasted. It’s that close this season.7 -

JoshAddick said:I’m getting carried away but this team has most of the qualities needed for a promotion side. We have grit, technical quality, athleticism, experience, youth, strength in depth. Combine all of that with the momentum we’ve got now from 3 wins on the bounce, we will be up there.
Great win today though, deserved to score more. Win Tuesday night against rock bottom MK Dons and we'll be well up for Ipswich next weekend which will give us a good measure of how good we are.5 -

Very proud of the players after that. Really dug in against a physical side and tried to play football when we could. Could and should have won by more but 3 points all the same.
Well done Garner and the players.20 -

Happy bunny0

To add to what foreveraddickted said, we have played all the teams in the top half except for Ipswich and Peterborough. We need to use the next few games to keep the momentum going!2
-
Stockley battled well, defended well, but we'd still be a much, much better team with a very different striker.

Closed the gap on the top spot by 2 points. Getting there. Onwards and upwards1

Never in doubt, don’t argue with ye gods :-)AFKABartram said:Never heard of Campbell.
As said in the preview , it’s already been determined by the gods that we will win today, so hope you’ve all put your houses on it.
Come on you reds!
Slept through 2nd half and woke up just before the final whistle. Happy days.6 -

I think Campbell was subbed because he was tiring. He’s pretty young isn’t he?5 -

It would be nice if we could go to 4-3-3, that I will absolutely grant. And that does require a striker different to Stockley. But in the interim, Garner is doing a good job of making the most of the players he has.6 -
Let's not under estimate how much having most of our senior players fit makes.
Sessegnon makes a massive difference and the psychological difference Chuks makes can't be understated.
The form, and style, of MK Dons makes me think there might be a thrashing on Tuesday night.11 -
Really good away performance, that midfield with Dobson and Fraser is a lovely partnership and Fraser is really showing his class now
Glad we stood up to a really physical and niggly team who have some decent players
So happy for the fans who made the trip16 - Sponsored links:

Great 3 points, their an ugly side to play against, and safe journey home to those that travelled.0

Once again, as Brownie would say, the lads left nothing on the pitch.
Each one of them contributed today and Chuks showed once again what a handful he is although my knee jerk reaction when he stayed down was an ear piercing " NO!" followed by a loud bang as our neighbour fell off his chair...
In spite of the increasingly worrying mess behind the scenes, Our Ben is getting the best out of his men .
Long may it last !9 -

I can't accept this reasoning "What you're asking is difficult to find at this level." People said that to me when I thought we could do better than Matthews & Purrington!
Stockley is doing his absolute best for us, he deserves praise for that.

3 on the spin. Not a flash performance but an away win at a tough place to go.3
-
We're in great form now so it's a guarantee we lose to MK Dons, get your money on now.8
-
Great win .We’ve made Portsmouth , Exeter and Shrewsbury all look very ordinary in the last three games .Dobson and Fraser are our engine and it’s absolutely purring at the moment .7
-
Pretty boring to watch, but delighted with another win for the lads.6 points in 6 days - up to 7th !1

Replacing League One fullbacks is very different to replacing a League One striker with one who is mobile, scores goals, and ideally can help in the build up. Clarke-Harris, Aaron Collins maybe, Stockton. Then Aneke. Probably a couple more that I'm not thinking of, but you're talking about hundreds of thousands of pounds in transfer fee alone when we've already spent hundreds of thousands on Stockley and Aneke.
Contrast that with we got Egbo on a free, Sess on loan, and Clare for a minimal fee last season.6
