Germany look weak in attack, packed midfield, are they just looking for a draw ?

That shade of red does it for me to.
  • Nice little warning from Germany though

Spain look good but lack of centre forward will cost them in the later stages.

    Ha ha ha offside
  • That sort of quick decision justifies VAR for me. In a tight game at this level, it would have been wrong for the game potentially be decided by a clearly offside goal.

    That marking wow
  • Feels like there's been a lot of goalless first halves.

I knew I'd seen that German kit somewhere else
  • Germany have been by far the better team

No natural centre forward in tournament football, where one chance can make a difference, is mental to me. Tbf Germany dont really have one either.

agreed, exactly the point of VAR and like you say a quick easy decision is how it should be used

Struggling to keep interest with this tournament at the moment. All the play feels so slow. Bring on the knockouts when teams have to go for it.

I think some of the third round group games are going to be very tense and exciting. I bloody hope so anyway

Japan rather spoilt tonight's game by losing earlier. If they had won, then Germany would have needed the win tonight to stay in, and would have had to go for it

Jayden Morata is coming on, so, Spain I guess...
  • Spain look like they are trying to play like the great team of 5-10 years ago. But the players aren’t Iniesta, Xavi etc

I think one thing we are seeing is even the best teams at the moment are so one dimensional that when it works they look brilliant when it doesn't they look average.

    I’ve fucking done it again haven’t I
  • Maybe they should start Morata... Unless he cant do more than 30mins? ;)
