    As I posted elsewhere, this will keep happening again and again, new owners will come and go and most so far have been speculators, whether well-meaning or not.

    Is there some way fans can find to secure the assets of the club long term at least to prevent harmful speculation and debt that puts the valley and SL at risk and therefore the club?  Perhaps the current lease arrangement presents an opportunity.

    Fans can demonstrate etc, and as has happened will vote with their feet, but what we really need is leverage and security. A long term scheme and perhaps partnership with LBG might be a way forward. Perhaps that is the real struggle we need to embark on.

    Anyone doing a "match thread" style commentary for those of us still working?

    Would be gratefully received.

    At the moment Olly is talking "in general terms" about what is needed for a successful working environment in football clubs.

    Ben Ransom from Sky talking about the difficulties of getting media coverage for the woes of lower league clubs. Says we need to give them a tangible thing to hang the story off really.

    Rick talking about what he understands the situation to be with possible investment/takeover interests. Pertinent quote "don't expect if we sell out Brighton that we'll see a takeover the next day".

    @fumbluff none visible.
  • Is this meeting likely to be cancelled given the snow?
    Probably just a 3 year banning order.

    Lauren Kreamer: increasingly feeling that Thomas doesn't think that anyone could possibly know better than him about the club (or anything frankly)

    Well given when we got relegated from the Prem the women's team got hived off completely, it's not an unreasonable concern that if we go down to League 2 that that's going to screw over the funding for the women's team.

    Lucy Bishop: she and Lewis have had a conversation with Thomas tonight. Process to appoint a new manager is underway, but is likely to take weeks rather than days. He described the Sun story about the potential takeover as "garbage"

    Question about the risk of the Coventry situation being repeated with us. Lauren doesn't think it's likely to be an issue at this stage.

    Ashley and Coventry have agreed a short term arrangement until end of season by which time a longer deal can be discussed.
