Obviously, you wouldn't know it from the many expected negative posts.
The main thing stopping this from being a big game to look forward to is the Charlton "supporters" ,who are determined not to enjoy anything Charlton and are already talking about only 5,000 Charlton fans going.
It's such a shame that CL is so negative about everything Charlton and I don't understand why people spend the majority of their time being negative about so much.
Well done to the Charlton fans.
I'm confident the support on the night helped us scrape through.
Great night.9 -

Personally i think we have to be realistic and accept it's unlikely we'll get much further, so for me i think i'd prefer to get City/Liverpool or United. Been a long time since we played one of the big guns.5 -
My kids said it’s the first time they’d seen a prem team (although sheepishly one admitted to seeing West Ham with his friend )
so we’ve not had many home games against a prem team or in recent years an away fixture
Fuck em , I want Forest at home and more progression
want to go as far as possible !!
although 100% we’re out next round whoever we get

Please not Forest, you know who, would just love coming here, and taking one of those slow walk penalties against us, think it would make me sick!7

But it would be hilarious if it got saved!3

Besides, he's probably secretly pleased as he won't have to play football to fill his dirty wallet for a while.2 -
My boys want the big prem away day as not been to a prem ground with us and they are 19 and 22 !!! Selfishly I want the shittest team left at home and try and progress - let’s dream big and make it 2 major honours more than our local rivals - crazy things can happen in football and we specialise in the bizarre - COYR !!!1
-
Well we've got the bottom 3 of the Premier left in.0

I'd take winning the league cup and getting relegated (not that i think we will get relegated or win the league cup) - guessing everybody would ?6

Any one of Man City/Man Utd/Liverpool/Newcastle at home.
We'll get Southampton away.1 -
we cant get a bad draw.
the perks of supporting a small tinpot club like Charlton is you get nights like last night.
for me united away would be the one fantastic ground which wont be there for much longer and I haven't seen us play there.4 - Sponsored links:

Would love City/Liverpool at home , probably end up away at Wolves.0
-
think I'd prefer a home draw, but if it's away at least we get a decent allocation0

Brighton!mendonca said:They'll smash us
Go back to page 27 for the reaction when we drew Brighton. The majority were very disappointed because Brighton aren’t a glamour club, and ‘we’ll lose anyway in front of a crowd of 8,000’.Just goes to show how you can never tell how things will pan out. That was one of favourite nights as a Charlton fan!
For the first time ever I’m extremely excited about a Cup draw.Would love Newcastle away as I can take my Sunderland mate (great nephew of a close friend of Jimmy Seed’s, the fella who returned one of Jimmy’s England caps, which is now on display in the museum).Liverpool/Man City or Man Utd away or at home would be great, but can’t see getting through.Any other team at home, and we have a small chance.Hope Liverpool/City draw Utd, so one would be eliminated.A glimmer, just a small glimmer, of hope of winning the second major trophy in our history. 100/1 with Paddy Power is about right though. Won’t stop me having a couple of quid on it.1 -
Another home game is preferable, against someone like Southampton or Wolves we'd stand a chance of doing another nil nil like last night1

Newcastle please at home. Pope let's in a silly goal.. We win 1 nil.0
-
I'd like Wolves or Man Utd at home 🙏0
-
City/Liverpool or Manure away please.3
-
i do hope we do not allow the level of away fans that were admitted last night - although for a big crowd they were v poor.
was funny seeing there little faces when it wasn't the walk over they thought it would be2 -
We won't win so let's not get carried away wanting a 'lesser draw'. I'd rather get beat with 6k of us having a party up at old trafford than at home to forest.10
