I’m burnt to a crisp but enjoyed the day out. Was quite a novelty to be at a Charlton game in such weather and surroundings.

Welling, with Danson Park in the background?

That thought did cross my mind. I’ll be at Gillingham as long as I’m not laid up in bed with sunstroke

Would imagine the trialist is just a random keeper that’s been parachuted in after AMB went home early.
Or its the second coming of the Messiah

I hate the way they've photoshopped that picture to make him look a better keeper than he was.

    Here's the original...

How he kept a clean sheet again QPR I'll never know

Ravel Morrison had a mare and even when Thuram passed the ball straight to him he missed.

Glad to hear not headbutts or ankle hacks in a friendly.

Who was the unused traillist? Interesting role for a triallist, that!

We are not certain but our fans who are out there said his initial is A. 🤔

Nice video on the website with the players meeting the fans.

Jolly good show. Do we have our Charlton back?

Given Holden's speech at the end, it certainly feels closer than almost any time in the last 10 years.

I like Holden and I desperately hope you guys are right, but words are just words. Karl Robinson could give a good speech and we didn’t get anywhere with that one.

This clubs biggest asset has always been it fans, get them on board, give them something to rally around and they will turn up and make a difference

What will give out the best signal is actual wins and the accumulation of points.
I like Holden, and I like seeing our own players coming through, but I like wins and huge points totals even more.

    Not even close.

There was a very good connection between the players and fans in the 2019 promotion season.

Besides 2-3 players and the manager, I really couldn’t care less about the rest of our current squad.

It was also said under Bowyer and Jackson as well.  Both Garner and Adkins were described as "a breath of fresh air" as well.

Just win games, as someone once said.

Looked about half to me 90-100 most. Went to the Bournemouth Hibs game day before ours (our squad was there too) and there were about 50-80 for each team. That bar/museum had no coins to offer change - there were some right old dilemmas at the counter when some of the customers from a certain nation (make your own minds up…) were told no €2 change if they wanted to take the beer. Was giving me a right old chuckle and each order took twice as long  🤣

And the ownership situation ruined that. As did Bowyer's behaviour towards the end.

2019 felt like a huge step forward, fingers crossed this one is a leap.
