    I'm guessing not the two I've heard of in that list? (Nurse with Wound and Meat Whiplash)

    Otis Westinghouse and the Elevators (IIRC).  Once supported Squeeze at the Albany in Deptford...turned out to be Elvis Costello doing the boys a favour

    Salako, a pop band who were signed to Jeepster along with Belle & Sebastian and Snow Patrol. Their 1999 record Musicality is a standout in what I consider to be one of the worst years for music between 1965 and 2005.

    Hole is one of my favourite all time albums, though that was released as Scraping Foetus off the Wheel.

    Harmonic Generator, i borrowed a bit of that for my own work.

    Certainly not new, they emerged around the same time as the Killers, Libertines, Kings of Leon, the Strokes.

    I actually forgot about the Datsuns until i saw your post. They broke through with a couple of other bands from that part of the world, Jet and a band i loved at the time called the Vines. Their debut album is great.
