Kirk's brain just slows play and allows teams to get back.

He was in a good position to cross he froze, brought the ball back towards the half way line, then passed to their forward!

Lad needs to hit the gym and stick some muscle on.

Surprised he had the power to place that shot over the bar.
  • Great work from Dabo. Poor finish from McGrandles.

    Dabo looking good so far

Dabo creates another good chance but over the bar from McGrandles from 15 yards out
  • McGrandles looks as bad for the U21's as he does for the first team. Wayward crossing and shooting

That should be two very good assists for Dabo. Looks very decent so far.

In other injury related news - Viggars properly crocked apparently, Out for a long one.
shame for him, I saw him in pre season and really liked him. Don't think he'll score shed loads of goals but is just the sort of foil Alfie May needs (don't mean actually Ryan but someone of his ilk)

Wigan growing into this. Very slowly but signs of fight are there.

Mitchell looking like an U21 today.

Apart from Kedwell getting caught in possession at the back. Just what we were talking about, players trying to overcomplicate things in defensive positions. He dug himself out of it though I guess.

Ladapo and Casey could be classed as strikers in the usual sense, maybe Rylah.
  • Elerewe is the stand out player, rather have him then Thomas in the squad, didnt even realise Kirk was playing, if there are any scouts at the ground looking to take a player or two onloan then he isnt going anywhere.

Deji has put some long passes astray, but he has a nice sense of authority.
Mind you I found it very hard to suss out what defenders were doing in the shadowy bit, I hope the visuals are better second half.
