five of us were going until the trains strikes announced. Its not just getting to Oxford and then getting to the ground, its getting into London as well.Covered End said:

Is this a combination of train strikes, holidays and team form?
We usually bring numbers to Oxford do we not?
May have driven if we were top 6 as we should be.1

Dropping the GLW at Bicester Village for an annual shopping trip and I’m heading to the Manor Ground to watch the match.0

Looks like a very rare coach trip. Not something I particularly enjoy, and will only do when I have to every 2-3 years.Have just had an operation so will probably spend most of the game absolutely off my nut on medication. Will lend some out if the football is as bad as we think.9

Not for me with the current shower of shit. Season ticket purchase massive mistake on my part.clive said:

Would normally have gone and driven but rather go out for a decent meal.0

But you purchased your ticket 22/7 and for once in a long time you had Hope.Hartleypete said:

Don’t blame you for not travelling to Oxford what with problems with trains. But shower of shit surly you must have realized?0

New ground for me , my last 10 away reads W0,D1,L9 add on top of that we are stinking the place out at the Mo , I’m fully prepared to and another defeat to the lost column5

Third visit to this ground in three seasons. I do not learn easy, clearly…That said, chips are down at the minute and jury is out on what new owners are or are not going to do over the next week or so? I will get behind the team and hope for the best. Free parking on the ground’s doorstep if you get there early enough.1

it doesn't help that we were truly terrible there last season, that was an away day to forgetNabySarr said:
Don’t think it has sold out last few times. It’s a shit away day that we’ve been to plenty of times in recent years. I’ll be there but not massively looking forward to itBraziliance said:Doesn't look like this one will sell out then.

Can’t make Saturday but good luck to those going. There is no consistency in L1 and although it seems a lot have automatically wrote it off, football works differently to that otherwise we’d all be rich and the bookies would be poor.Hope all you guys are rewarded, bar Pompey it’s much more common for Charlton to turn in away wins when the support is in the hundreds rather than thousands.1

1 draw and 5 losses on the spin for me, might be an idea for us not to turn up 😂gmantaxi said:New ground for me , my last 10 away reads W0,D1,L9 add on top of that we are stinking the place out at the Mo , I’m fully prepared to and another defeat to the lost column1

I dunno. He'll likely be the happiest Addick in Oxford on Saturday afternoon. Ignorance is bliss.ElfsborgAddick said:

Wasn’t there a penalty miss by Sandgaard’s Danish chum?Valiantphil said:We were bad when we went there under Bowyer if I recall correctly.
My last away win was Cambridge. Now for Oxford. Unfortunately they’re in great form. We might be ok in a month or two, but we’re not right now.1

Awful record at their place. We even managed to lose there just before our promotion in 2018-19, and we took the lead in that game too!2

Not seen us win at the Kassam or the Manor Ground.
I suspect I'll be saying the same thing next time1
-
This will be my sixth visit and yet to see a win. Not expecting that to change0
-
Charlton have won no league games at the Kassam stadium.Played 6
 3 draws and 3 defeats
They only have a FA Cup replay win back in 2014 to show for.
The Manor Ground was a much happier hunting ground for the Addicks back in the 90’s with them going unbeaten in 6 league games with 5 wins and a draw.1

Away win all over this fixture, oh ok I'll shut up 🫢0

Less than 1k for one of our local ish fixtures whatever the football /travel situation, isn’t great
imagine Pompey or Reading having a following to us like that in similar circumstances, no nor can I0

My son and his mates aren’t going as they’re at the Reading festival. Also it’s a bank holiday weekend so some might be away on holiday. Just saying1

Reading averaged less away fans in the championship last year than we did in league one. Our club is going through it's worst period in history and there's train strikes. If either one of those factor changes we probably get close to selling out. Well done to everyone goingoohaahmortimer said:Less than 1k for one of our local ish fixtures whatever the football /travel situation, isn’t great

Admittedly it is a pain getting from the station to the ground, but there are lots of decent boozers and as an area Oxford is probably one of the most pleasant in the country, certainly for one when going for football.
