  • Moore hasn’t been approached how can he turn it down ?
  • If Moore hasn’t been approached then he damned well should be.

Scott Brown next Charlton manger. You heard it here first.

Available and was at the Valley yesterday.

    2/5 with some bookies.
Didn't Curbs try to sign him way back when. Unfinished business 🤔 My guess is that Appleton might end up at Fleetwood now, so they'll steel him out from under our noses 😉

What you mean he’ll be carried in on a sedan chair with metal poles. That’ll be some arrival 😉.

Maybe that’s our new strategy - can’t be rejected if we don’t approach any potential managers!

I notice Michael Beale is under pressure at Rangers already. Fans are calling for his resignation after being humiliated by, er, a 1-0 defeat to Celtic. Wow, what an appalling result. Embarrassing. 🙄

Anyway, he’s a name people usually mention as a potential manager for us. Maybe he’ll be available sooner than expected?

He's a local lad so I think that's why his name has come up in the past

Local lad and ex academy player but I can't see him being available in the right kind of timeframe to be in contention.

Beale is totally out of our league.

Any plans to help Ronnie Moore are totally misguided. He is an effing idiot who deliberately posts controversial views.
He has openly posted on ITTV forum that he comes on here to wind people up. Ignore.
If true then I’d be reaching for the mute button if there was one.

My memory not what it once was but I think it was Les Reed who tried to sign Scott Brown before he went to Celtic.
Didn't we try and sign Brown and the striker who's name I can't remember, I think he ended up at Sunderland, from Hibs?
Was Brown and Kevin Thomson. Another Midfielder who both went to play for old firm.

Wasnt it this lad as well? - Derek Riordan - Wikipedia
I suspected it might have been due to the profile, I knew it wasn't Fletcher, but I have zero recognition of him ever being leaked.

    So has CP.

There is nobody else out there that appeals to me.
    Let’s stick with Pearce.
Moore not turned us down nor has Challinor because there not been any formal offer made to turn down .. Powell who cares he clearly don’t care about the club like he makes out he does .
Cares more about the club than that crap striker you've named your account after

As a kid I put £1 into the bucket to buy Ronnie Moore.

    I also took out 50p change 😀
Balances out, I put in 50p and took £1 change.

I think Ronnie Moore was a better defender than he was a striker. Certainly for us he was.

Where did you hear about Moore turning us down?
Wouldn’t be surprised but I’ve not heard that anywhere.
He declined to comment on the job to Cawley apparently.
I move in football related circles but that doesn’t put me ITK on all subjects.
I’m a Darren Moore fan, but my info
    is that it’s not happening.
However, money talks and people change their mind.

Similar with Challenor, I’m told it’s about moving here. We will see.

On a positive note: you can’t beat an ex-Charlton player as our manager.

Agree with this. Iirc he was emense in the FA Cup against Spurs.

Arthur Horsfield was another who could play in both positions effectively.

Beale's job hanging by a thread now. If Rangers sack him could we realistically go back in for him? Stock will have fallen after this recent failure.

If Beale gets the sack, I wonder if Damian Matthew will too? That would mean Powell, Dyer and Matthew all out of work at the same time...

Is this a cryptic clue that the real Ronnie Moore will get the job?

After all he is an ex player.

Don't think he could make the step up.
Also don’t forget he walked out of QPR, after only being there for a short time.
  • So somewhat cryptically we have it that an ex Charlton player could be our man. Powell, Bowyer or Hudson are the ones we’ve seen mentioned. Technically Chris Wilder was too. Anyone else or have I read too much into the comment by Valliantphil ?
