Reckon he will go back to Exeter potentially, can't see a Championship club taking a punt.
Exeter fans are wanting their manager out atm and the timing just seems right. Currently 10 games in a row without a win, 1 draw and 9 losses. Some of them cup games but still in complete freefall
Taylor was on a 4 year contract as well..that wouldn't have been cheap getting rid.
Do Rotherham go for Warnock and attempt staying up a year or go for Wilder who might fancy a club he has history with?

Their team was absolutely decimated in the summer so not quite sure what their fans expect.
Lost their 4 top scorers (Nombe, Brown, Stansfield and Collins), as well as their keeper and 3 of their defence who all played over 40 games last season. Key went to Swansea, Blackman and Caprice to Burton and Sparkes to Portsmouth.
Of the 11 players who featured most for them last season, only 3 remain. Any side would struggle in their position.
"Charlton have been denied permission to speak to Buckingham, however. City Football Group are keen to keep the coach on their books despite the London club being prepared to meet the relevant compensation fees."
Didn't Buckingham coach at Oxford before going to Mumbai? So makes sense that they would be more open to letting him go?
It's also possible that Mumbai/City football group wanted to keep him for their Asian champions league campaign but so far they are played 4, lost 4 and didn't score a goal so they can't qualify for the next stage.
Well so far things have worked out with Appleton and Buckingham is a complete gamble imo, we needed a manager to steady the ship and we got just that.
Holden would have had us in freefall and had to go, if we replaced him with a manager who needed time to implement a style we could have been in a real spot of bother.
Oxford United seems a good move for a manager like that where the pressure isn't as high and they have a ready made squad.

Yeah I think it's probably because of how they were performing at the start and how they've come undone a bit. They're now probably panicking a bit as the teams above, mostly, are looking likely to stay above and the teams below are starting to show signs of life, Fleetwood and Cheltenham in particular.
It is probably a safe bet to say Reading are gone, 10 points behind the drop, seem woeful and may even be punished further? So you're probably looking at a mini royal rumble for 3 relegation spots between Carlisle, Cheltenham, Fleetwood, Exeter. I suspect Northampton, Cambridge and Port Vale could find themselves down there as well.
As Exeter are in a bit of free-fall, I would like to test their nerve for Will Aimson (the guy who was ridiculously sent off vs us) in January.
Their captain, very comfortable on the ball and one of the centre backs in the league high up on aerial stats despite being on the small side for a centre half.
For those stat lovers, he's second best in the league for goal preventions, averages 5.6 aerial dual wins, has an 81% pass success and currently sits in the top 10 for players ratings in the league with a 7.22 average rating via whoscored.
For comparison against our centre backs, Hector is ranked 184th with an 80% pass success rate, 2.2 aerial duals won (very low for a centre back imo) and an average rating of 6.63. Jones sits 66th in league ratings with a pass success of 81.4% (was pleasantly surprised by this) and 4.6 aerial duals won with an average score rating of 6.89.
Highlights our weakness where our main striker, winger and midfielder all sit in the top 20 and none of our defenders do. The player we need to upgrade on is Hector and I think Aimson is a player to look at as we could take advantage of Exeter being in a spot of bother.
As much as I take xG with a pinch of salt, I take individual player ratings quite seriously as they paint a fairly accurate picture imo. It's just whether or not you can get that player to work in the team.

And he's replacing Manning who I imagine plays a similar style of football.
All our recent managerial changes have been reactions to the failure of the previous manager...

Mumbai City is owned by the same people as Man City and a few other Cittees around the world .. so presumably Buckingham (Palace to his mates and not Lindsay) must be good for the Citizens to have employed and nurtured him

He must have a very good agent because it's only 5 months since he was sacked by Inter Miami with them bottom of the Eastern Conference.
He could branch out from here.

Indeed and let's face it Rotherham probably have the lowest budget in the Championship. Karl Robinson being interviewed today for the position.
Malky Mackay sacked by Ross County. I hadn't realised he had been back in Scotland
Isn't this the bloke we approached and got told to bugger off?
And now official

Relegation scrap looks tasty.

Derek Adams has today left Morecambe Football Club to pursue an opportunity elsewhere.
The Board of Directors wished to retain the services of Derek Adams, but a contractual release clause was met to enable the move to progress.
