Still amuses me that Pep is one choice that the fans would love - But it took him seven years with Man City to win the Champions League (the one club Tournament that can probably be compared to International Football), thats the equivalent of the World Cup from 1998-2022.

We were an extra time period away from a World Cup final in 2018.
We were a penalty shoot out away from winning Euro 2020.
We were a missed penalty away from taking the defending world champs to extra time in 2022 and who knows what would've happened after.Winning a major tournament is bloody hard and we don't have a god given right to walk over any other top level team at the business end of a competition - those teams have also earned the right to be there by being bloody good at football. The breaks haven't gone our way in the above games but that's not a reason to get rid of our most successful manager since Alf Ramsey.

we have two world class players and potentially two others - Trent and Sako. The rest are mid table premier league. The defence is arguably lower than that centrally.

Don't want to labor on the CAFC point too much but Alfie May played about 60% of the minutes in the Cray Valley tie across the first match and the second match's first half.
The aggregate score at that point was 2-2. The aggregate score while May was also on the pitch was 1-1.
