best pub on an away day?

Chaucers Exeter or The Griffin Carlisle. Great CAFC celebrations in the latter on 14/4/12.0

It may be where i drink regularly, but, the New Barrak Tavern, on Penistone Road about 400 metres from Hillsborough is a decent shout. It a real ale mecca if you like that kind of stuff. Proper old pub. Good banter/chat with Wendies, and the owner Kev is a top bloke (you can't miss him, his build is like tangoman but with a shirt on), compares a bit at the comedy club there once a month. Also you can park easily park behind the pub. Barmaids are not anything to put on a thirst though.
Another shout was the rugby club up at Carlisle.1 -
I really like the Green Bricks in Hull last season on the Marina. Shame we are losing that from our fixture list but only from that perspective.0

Forresters, Southend.0

The Beehive near Bolton's ground. Decent grub and a good choice of beer including an away day special called "Beehive Yourself" which has a rather fruity taste to it. Should be going back there again next season depending on when it is.0

I was going to go for the NBT. Fantastic pub, and the only decent boozer in Hillsborough by a country mile. The Prince-e-Paul said:It may be where i drink regularly, but, the New Barrak Tavern, on Penistone Road about 400 metres from Hillsborough is a decent shout. Is that the one with the bar down the left hand side as you walk in, has two rooms on the right and a small paved garden? Quite close to the big Morrisons and Pizza Hut?donnyaddick said:
