Interesting comments on there from Fry on JCHs personality which goes against what has been on here lately.MarcusH26 said:https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/peterborough-united/the-league-one-clubs-chasing-prolific-peterborough-united-striker-4461589
3 bids from us rejected for JCH according to Barry Fry , Posh want a "significant fee" but less than the £800k Bristol Rovers had agreed in the summer
Fry's been at it for years , he knows exactly what he's doing with those comments and probably fancies a bit of a bidding war.4 -
think the main things we need is an actual right winger and a deep lying midfielder to sit next to Dobson0
-
I can't see them signing a deep lying mid as they will argue that McGrandles and Taylor can play that position and are returning from injury next month. Not that they are the solution to our leaderless static midfield.0

Reading and Blackpool are reportedly interested in Terell Thomas0

Along with the Peterborough own and our own Andy Scott all three have a Degree in talking bollox but making it sound like the truth.cafcforever said:

Isted looks a bit dodgy IMO,need betterValleyBen said:I still think Isted will take over in goal & be a decent player for us if he is able to stay imjury free, brilliant story for how MB came to us but he is not a young player anymore and other then the occasional brilliant save I just don't believe he is up to it.1 -
Isn't this what we did in the summer? Bid well below asking just so that we could pretend we were in for good players?

Easy for Peterborough to talk big bucks when the window hasn’t opened yet but they definitely want money for JCH and know if they play hard ball too long he’ll walk in the summer for nothing. At this point he’s not worth more than £300 - £400k and they know it.2
-
Suspect the ultra unprofessional MacAnthony will wait until the bitter end of the window regardless to get every last penny of a potential deal. So if we do get him, JCH won’t be signing at the start of January0

Won’t be cancelled cause we paid a large loan fee and we would not get any of that back ..redbuttle said:

Sounds like Peterbro are desperate to generate a bidding war …. Offer 400,000 no more there no future value in him because he will want a 3 year contractMarcusH26 said:https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/peterborough-united/the-league-one-clubs-chasing-prolific-peterborough-united-striker-4461589

Pretty sure last season, Ipswich paid more than that for a single defender. I know they are an exception, but money can buy success. A look at every league table will probably have 1-2 of the biggest spenders in the top 3.Mendonca In Asdas said:
No way is the transfer budget 1 million, needs to be at least 10 million just to bring the squad up to scratch.Athletico Charlton said:killerandflash said:
But because they only have 6 months left, the bids coming in won't be very good either.Callumcafc said:
But isn't that an argument that our £1M transfer budget (if true) could be put to good use the other way around with us picking up players in the cheap because of short contracts.
1 million will get us some cheese and biscuits, with a few pork scratching thrown in.
Sadly we are unlikely to get any offers to take most of ours players for free, such are their performances. For the players they'd very likely be signing for a smaller club on lower wages, if any offer was made.1 -

That prick went along with Southall stringing us along with the Ivan Toney nonsense whilst knowing we were under an embargo.
Wouldn't believe a word he comes out with.

Can’t trust anything Peterborough say when it comes to trying to sell their players. They are desperate for that bidding war. Do they want six figures now or nothing in the summer? They’re not the ones with leverage in this situation, as much as they might want to pretend otherwise.Part of the reason his original move fell through in the summer was because they were playing silly nuggets trying to squeeze every penny out of Bristol Rovers for him.1
-
you generally don't get loan fees back, hence it being a loanRonnieMoore said:

Unfortunately we probably already are one of the biggest spenders in league 1, but we are 12th. Every year we somehow manage to be the exception to this rule because our recruitment is so badThe Prince-e-Paul said:

So would I, Edun’s reasonably ok going forward but defensively weak both positionally and physically. Both weaknesses in evidence yesterday for their goals 😤.NabySarr said:
We will need to sign a new left back first. I’d probably start Thomas ahead of Edun next game anywayMarcusH26 said:https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-blackpool-and-reading-make-moves-to-sign-charlton-athletic-star-terell-thomas/
Reading and Blackpool interested in TTOpposing teams are undoubtedly targeting him and the oceans of space he leaves on his sorties. What we need is a cross between him and Purrington but those sort won’t fancy playing for a mediocre, mid table L1 team 😞.0 -
