Interesting comments on there from Fry on JCHs personality which goes against what has been on here lately.

Fry’s a salesman. He’s making him sound like he’s up for a Nobel Peace Prize 

Fry's been at it for years , he knows exactly what he's doing with those comments and probably fancies a bit of a bidding war. 

I can't see them signing a deep lying mid as they will argue that McGrandles and Taylor can play that position and are returning from injury next month. Not that they are the solution to our leaderless static midfield.

Easy for Peterborough to talk big bucks when the window hasn’t opened yet but they definitely want money for JCH and know if they play hard ball too long he’ll walk in the summer for nothing. At this point he’s not worth more than £300 - £400k and they know it.

But because they only have 6 months left, the bids coming in won't be very good either.

But isn't that an argument that our £1M transfer budget (if true) could be put to good use the other way around with us picking up players in the cheap because of short contracts.

No way is the transfer budget 1 million, needs to be at least 10 million just to bring the squad up to scratch.

1 million will get us some cheese and biscuits, with a few pork scratching thrown in.

Pretty sure last season, Ipswich paid more than that for a single defender. I know they are an exception, but money can buy success. A look at every league table will probably have 1-2 of the biggest spenders in the top 3.

Sadly we are unlikely to get any offers to take most of ours players for free, such are their performances. For the players they'd very likely be signing for a smaller club on lower wages, if any offer was made. 

Can’t trust anything Peterborough say when it comes to trying to sell their players. They are desperate for that bidding war. Do they want six figures now or nothing in the summer? They’re not the ones with leverage in this situation, as much as they might want to pretend otherwise.

Unfortunately we probably already are one of the biggest spenders in league 1, but we are 12th. Every year we somehow manage to be the exception to this rule because our recruitment is so bad
