Funny they want fan engagement when Appleton seems to despise us.
    Does he "despise us"?
I used the words 'seems to'.
OK, let me rephrase the question then.

Does he "seem to despise us"?
So far, from my perspective, yeah he does.

I have followed his interviews, looked at his body language, seen his reaction to results....and was there at Leyton Orient like you were.
    Fair enough.

He seems indifferent to me. Doesn't give out platitudes and doesn't whine.

Ultimately I don't really care what he thinks of us as long as he's successful.

Scott can impress us by bringing the right players in. He hasn't yet.

Wonder who Scott is meeting tonight? Feels like it's too obvious to be JCH.

Nobody has asked about Charlton TV - she just wants to know if she's got a job next year!

Cut out all the waffle and we have three board members wanting us to be a successful club. Fuck my old boots…..I’d never have thought of that!

is no one asking about player recruitment. For example are policy of recruiting long term injured players instead of up and running ones.

CAST requested a meeting with club on it - they have agreed, so we are now waiting to get date confirmed and aiming to have it asap.

Rodwell say they weren't aware of what Senda had been accused of, that strikes me as being remarkably incurious for a management team.
Utter bollocks. The FA would have informed them when he was invited to a disciplinary panel. That even happens at grassroots level.
Oh no, he said they'd been informed of the disciplinary, but not the nature of the allegations. Which obviously leads to the question "well why didn't you ask then?"
  • well at least there is talk. Paul Elliott offers nothing, he talks like a woke textbook.
of the current squad who are the 8 elite players?
If fitness so important why have we just taken a loan player who is not match fit?
it is simple get decent players that win games.
i do not care how ‘ diverse” and “ inclusive” they are.

A deluge of waffle and corporate speak from Rodwell, who I find very difficult to listen to. The man would be an expert filibuster - if only the team could run down time like him in the last 10 minutes. Paul Elliot is of a similar ilk, although Gavin Carter comes across as intelligent and genuine.

What we want to hear is HOW this regime is going to get the club moving in the right direction. It all comes across as very general and aspirational.

Success on the field drives pretty much everything in football. It’s not rocket science.

Aren't we at the maximum currently allowed in a squad anyway? (Watson,Camara,Chem, Fiorini and Bakinson)

Yeah, it goes against what has been said previously.
