Tedic would have done a job there as it is his position. Never even considered - put him on the wing or up top on his own - incredible.RonnieMoore said:

Reams mentioned we are getting a new number 10, Collins hopefully, just wondering if there is any info on alternatives, should Collins deal go no further.0

I'd assumed the one in Rhode Island.SoundAsa£ said:

Interesting piece , didn't realise TC was out of contract at the end of the season.
What part of that article suggested that he has only just realised these things ?If you don't like him or rate him as a manager, that's fine Doucher but twisting an article to enrich your opinion is stretching it a bit.0 -
actions speak louder than words - he's had a minimum of 2 months to make this change - ever since leaburn and chucks got injured - the fact he hasn't has meant we have now slipped completely out of the play off picture - i don't dislike apples i just can't fathom how a football manager could continue playing the way we wereBailey said:DOUCHER said:

I wont stand by a watch TS get rubbished by you!Redmidland said:Think it's time to cut the new owners some slack. If all these rumoured signings come off, then it'll be one of the best transfer windows for a long long time.
I agree with @DubaiCAFC that last summer, as we all know, TS was dragging the process out for his own gain! That left the new lot with little time to do much, and I agree what they did was crap! However, this is a new window, there are no excuses, it's all on AS and the board. So let's see what today brings, and indeed, the next 14 days. Whatever now transpires is down to AS, the board, and MA!
If this is a start for making us properly competitive for next season then more power to them! Only time will now tell!
I've always been an ally to the great man and wont put up with it.
Our former entrusted leader and rock star and baby sandgaard were trailing Collins long before this lot appeared on the scene.

I hope I have your meaning right Dubai. I'm not being negative if that's the case. Trying to sign a forward permantly in this window is difficult, we've tried and failed twice so far, CBT will leave in my opinion and as much as he can frustrate, his goals this season will be sorely missed. Lapado is a perfect signing and along with Coventry, is a standout signing within this window, whether is is a loan or permanent.DubaiCAFC said:
It’s all terrible negative this windowBailey said:
I wouldn't have thought so U-boat. It's more likely that they can see CBT moving on and that would leave a huge hole in the goals 'for' column. Both forwards within the club are injured long term and even though Chuks could be back training at the end of Febuary, his injury record suggests he could break down at anytime. Any suggested plan by the owners does not work if we get relegated, we don't address the problems in the forward line, then there is a good chance that can happen.Uboat said:I haven’t read the whole thread so apologies if it has been covered. Can someone explain the logic of getting Lapado on loan? Does that mean the owners think we can still go up this year?1 -
Im lost , potentially we could sing Ward ( goalkeeper ) uche ( ST ) Ladapo (ST) Colin’s ( attacking mid / winger ) the lad from Huddersfield in defence - all today ?0

Your solution was to play Tedic up there, sorry but he was a shocker, up there with Penny as one of the worst.

4 maybe, not Collins though as not that far advanced apparently.CH4RLTON said:Im lost , potentially we could sing Ward ( goalkeeper ) uche ( ST ) Ladapo (ST) Colin’s ( attacking mid / winger ) the lad from Huddersfield in defence - all today ?0 -
If Collins doesn't sign, do we really need to look for another 10 right now? We've just signed Fiorini, have Louie Watson and still got Fraser in the squad. If no one good is available I don't it as a position we need to rush.RedJohn said:Reams mentioned we are getting a new number 10, Collins hopefully, just wondering if there is any info on alternatives, should Collins deal go no further.3 -

I think we need to be as 'oven ready' for next season as possible. Fraser and Watson won't be around. If we can just add three or four in the summer, and as early as possible, and get a full pre season with a settled squad we can hit the ground running. That is where we have been falling down for a long while.Talal said:

I agree, I just don't think it's a position we need to rush if the right player isn't available.LargeAddick said:

I, for one, am very pleasantly surprised. Still have to see if the "rumours" match up with actual signings but as it stands it's far better than I thought it would be.DubaiCAFC said:
They certainly put more money in, and they said that at the fans forum, so that’s no secret, and the investors are more engaged now, and I think you are right maybe the football bug or protecting their investment. Let’s not forget how long the takeover dragged on, and people will say they had people in the building, and had control of last January, there hands where still tied, and everything had to be signed off by both parties, which wasn’t smooth! which meant some targets were missed.NabySarr said:
Interested to hear your thoughts @DubaiCAFC why do you think there has been such a change in approach/intent this month compared to the summer?DubaiCAFC said:
No one has said Collins today..cafcwill said:so potentially we could have 5 players being announced today:
Goalkeeper - Ward
Defender - Edmonds-Green
Midfielder - Collins
Striker - Ladapo
Striker - Ikpeazu
or have I got this wrong?
(obvioulsY WIOTOS)
a bid has or is going in, if it is acceptable that is another matter yet. It is a sizeable offer that’s for sureHas more money been put into the group? Did we underestimate what was needed and have now reassessed? Did one of the larger investors get the football bug and want to put more in?
There was money in the summer spent, but some was rushed I would say, but at the time I thought some of the signings looked good on paper.
They was never going to sit on a 12 million investment and watch it struggle, and was always going to put money in.. hopefully these signings work out.. I think the board and the owners need a little bit of slack and credit.. but as I have mentioned, there are certain fans had already made there minds up, and would never support this group and will always look to pick holes and provide negative comments.
As for Ladapo.....maybe he doesn't want to move permanently. We aren't exactly an attractive proposition but if he, and the team, do well between now and the end of the season then who knows.
Currently my concern is the bottom 4 and although we should stay out of danger there is no guarantee & another month of no wins would see us dragged into a relegation fight. I think the SMT saw this & explained to the major investors just how bad it could be if we got relegated.
So for now I'm happy with the new faces being mentioned (and hopefully signing). A good end to the season will hopefully see me purchase a ST for next season. But as mentioned earlier, a lot now depends on Appleton. If we don't finish top 10 then he probably wont be here in the summer.7 -

I must of refreshed this page 300 times at work, where are our 6 signings!9

Maybe a small gamble then.. just the £2.50 then rather than £10 or the hundreds others seem happy to stand to lose.DamoNorthStand said:RC_CAFC said:Honestly thinking that odds against on us to be in the top half is a good bet at the moment.
Calm down everyone. As it stands and on current form we would go down.... I would bite somebody's hand off to stay up and then sign another 5-6 players of this level in the summer. Lets not forget we are utterly horrific at the moment.0 -
