Neil Warnock said recently that he was ready to get back into management.

Again, might not be a cheap option for #cafc and in his latter years has been more of an impact boss that gets instant results.
He was up for doing the manager's job a few years back when Simon Jordan was…13 -
I'd love Warnock. Perfect short term manager (18 months - Not Charlton Short term).5

I am really hopeful that Charlton are actively considering Warnock. He is an impact manager and would definitely sort us out this season. As for next season I doubt he’d want to stay beyond that but with the right support in the summer I could see him getting us promoted.16

I hope the club are on the phone to Big Sam. The only way we get out this situation is going back to basics! 4-4-2 Brexit football, all British players!11 -

Warnock would be a short term appointment at best. Would rather look for a longer term option so we aren't back on the carousel of looking for a manager at the end of May.

If Warnock is actually open to the opportunity, go and get that man now and lean on all of his experience.11
-
Warnock is a good shout just to get us out of the shit . Short term obviously.1
-
Whoever comes in I really do hope the board do not make demands that the football has to be a certain style and played a certain way. This has never been successful for us. Just let the new guy get on with what he knows will win games.

Would love it if it was Warnock. Would show the football world we've still got it (a bit)4

Warnock is a manager to keep us up this season. We should be looking for a manager to do that and then get us promoted next season and take us on into the championship. Warnock is not that man3

But they also get a close look at the squad ahead of the summer2

I further assume they are therefore already negotiating with parties and the 'message to supporters' is mere fluff / PR nonsense about reviewing who / what next.Look at Forest recently, sacked Cooper on the 19th December, Nuno appointed the next day. It’s not like Appleton’s sacking came out of the blue, he’d been dire for months. It’s inexcusable for Scott, Rodwell and Methven not to have a managerial succession plan, they clearly don’t have one. Clueless.5 -

Scott would be shit scared having Warnock in the building and I doubt Warnock would work under that twat.13

IF Warnock came in that would be a first class appointment, and would give us a fighting chance of safety.
If we stayed up by the skin of our teeth I'd say "thanks Mr Warnock, you did what you were paid to do".
However, it would raise further questions to me the state of the squad.1 -

Well, I've decided I'll do everything I can to aid AS & co in their search for MA's replacement.
I'm sending them a small gift which I came across on Ebay last night.
A well thumbed edition of THE most important handbook known to man, signed & endorsed inside the front cover by one of its most notable successes, none other than Karel Fraeye.
" Football Manager Recruitment for Dummies ".
No need to thank me, dear friends.11 -

The worry is Curtis is the plan and they are simply buying time to announce it.1 -
Warnock for 18 months would be amazing. Can't think of anyone who'd have a better chance of both keeping us up this season and also having a go at promotion next.15
