The correct choice is pretty obvious to me.0 -

We won’t go down.
Therefore as much as I’d love to see Warnock on the touch line it should be a long term appointment, get Jones in do whatever it takes.
We should be in the bottom three as of now, it's a point deduction the reason why we are not and some suggest either way we are not in the bottom 3 but that isn't the way to look at it.
If Blackpool took their chances Saturday, we would have lost that game 4/5-0.
We need this new manager asap. If we get this appointment wrong, we will go down.
Let's deal in facts rather than ifs.
Reading have got a points deduction Blackpool didn't take there chances (and nor did we in the final couple of minutes).
We do need a manager asap but it has to be the right manager now and moving forward and that might take more time than people want.
We are in a precarious position in the league and no team is too good to go down.
We are not in the bottom 3 but we could be if results don't improve.
As you say we must get this appointment right but to get the right appointment it doesn't have to be right now.5 -

I’d go for Jones personally but Warnock wouldn’t be just looking at the next 6 monthsNot sure he’s got it in him anymore for a full season, his recent attempts haven’t been great where he’s been given a summer and started the season somewhere2

We go into Saturday's game with Fleming and Pearce in charge, the team play well and gain a well deserved victory.
The search for a new manager is ongoing with none of the candidates being thought to be the one but at least one of them while favoured is asking for guarantees that the Owners/SMT are not sure about.
Should the club leave the current management twosome in place for the rest of the season and take time to find the what they consider the right person to take the club forward next season
or
Appoint one of the current interviewees
I would say they should make a decision and appoint someone who they consider to be the best candidate regardless of results under Fleming/Pearce.3 -

We aint won in 15, have a very difficult Feb and the whole place could be in pieces by March!
We’re in freefall and struggling to create chances in games that could change that.
It’s time for fans & the SMT to wake up. If it wasn’t for teams below us having points deductions or games in hand that they haven’t yet played, we would be well & truely in the shit.5 -

De Canio, Sinclair, David James, Minto, Defoe, Bowyer, Hutchinson, Winterburn and Carrick.
9 reasons why West Ham shouldn't have been relegated from the Premier in 2002/3 season but they did as the rest of the squad were bang average(or poor) or the youngsters were not given their chance by Glenn Roeder ( sacked in April)
Brooking caretaker until end of season when they were in 18th and fell through the trap door.
Cafc are imploding and without some teamwork, backbone and a stronger mentality, of course we could drop. Once you are rudderless it's hard to stop.
We need someone a little crazy to come in and be our saviour...

Did Jones ever have control over transfers at Luton, Stoke or Southampton? I’m not sure he did. Input perhaps, total control though?
I find it really strange that people think we’re the only club operating this way.4 -

After narrowly missing out on capturing Danny Cowley, their second choice after appointing Michael Appleton ,Charlton are willing to wait for him to be relieved of his duties by Colchester United in the summer to finally get their man.
Don't shoot the messenger.5 -

If you had a choice between keeping Appleton for two more games (Blackpool, Derby this weekend) and having some deadline day signings or getting rid of him and having no deadline day signings, what’s the preference?
These are the kind of points I was trying to make in favour of keeping him a bit longer but the sentiment against him became too strong.1 -

Unless there is a dramatic restructure, the three 🤡 s are not going to want somebody working on their terms.
Warnock for a start will not suffer any s***.2 -

The old way can still work of course, but you are much more likely to get long term success with a more modern set up. The technical director role and responsibilities isn’t the problem, the problem is that Scott has done a very poor job so far in the role1 -
