Maybe they’re talking about a clean sheet win….10

Fair play to the owners for getting Jones as our new manager. Huge improvement over the likes of Adkins, Garner, Holden and Appleton.29

Or just a clean sheet.Red_Chester said:Maybe they’re talking about a clean sheet win….2 -
So would you be .ProperCharlton said:Fair play to the owners for getting Jones as our new manager. Huge improvement over the likes of Adkins, Garner, Holden and Appleton.
I’m genuinely worried that he doesn’t have the squad to do anything about this but it’s not an appointment that can be criticised .4 -

Well spotted. A telling distinction.7 -
Corrrr. Can you imagine Charlton, Clean Sheet and Win, all appearing in the same sentence! It's like sci-fi. Must be like how people felt when 1984 was released. It'll be one of those, "I remember when I first heard the news." For people that say, "I was there to witness it,", it'll be similar to the 7-6 victory, nobody will believe them.Red_Chester said:Maybe they’re talking about a clean sheet win….1 -
Good news , we all need to get behind him and stick with him.17

I wanted him or Rowett so glad we got him, given the other names bandied about we could have had so much worse5
-
That in itself shows the difference between someone like Appleton who was happy just to have a job and be the 'coach', and Jones who has quite likely said if you want me, then we're doing things my way and i'm the manager.covered_end_junior said:Appointed as “manager” rather than “head coach”15 -

comments like that are either concocted by comms and approved by the person or can just have been done by text. Literally takes 30 secondsTodds_right_hook said:
