There's historical reasons etc, but now it's all very tongue in cheek. Yes they want us to lose but there's no real spite or malice behind 90% of it.
International equivalent of us wanting Real Madrid/Barcelona to beat Liverpool/Arsenal.
I'm not saying 90% want us to win really, they definitely don't, but it's definitely the 'we'll never hear the end of it' etc type stuff than a real burning hatred these days.

There's been some comment that Yamal is a Tottenham fan, due to those Spurs trousers. Hopefully the Spurs trophy curse will strike him tonight.

Decent chance Gomez gets on tonight. Trippier probably injured, Shaw making his first start since Feb and marking the break out star of the tournament. If England are leading or level later in the game, then Gomez for a potentially tiring Shaw may be the safer option available to Southgate. If we’re trailing, of course, then we may see Eze at wingback again.1

Things I’ve taken notice of in this picture. Drives a solid family car. Hasn’t quite got over his childhood Batman obsession, but is quite ashamed of it given the strategicly placed mouse. Curtain at the ready to be drawn across the screen should the wife enter the room when pornhub is on. Doesn’t want to drink to strong a cider because of work tomorrow.
