Kind of looking forward to this one, against our first toughie opposition, forget Millwall😉...Should be seeing some signs of our starting line up for this season soon, hopefully another good run out.

High Noon shootout, our chance to stuff Palace...

Line ups later...

The important thing is that we are going to learn close to absolutely nothing about our L1 prospects from this, but we are all going to pretend we have learnt a lot

Yeh, but come on Leuth...  The honour of playing the reserve side of the oldest professional football club in the Solar System and beyond.

Saw Chuks last night in Petts wood. He was chaining a push bike to the fence outside Morrisons. Had a pair of CAFC shorts on with the number 10 on them.

Glad to see he isn’t injured

Jones must really be thinking about Ramsay as a centre back, I don't think he's played RWB at all this preseason. Not sure how I feel about that

Either that or he really wants to get a look at Assimwe. I think the reality though is he wants either the RCB or LCB to be able to go forward and create an overlap going forward for the LWB/RWB. It's an interesting idea.

Already been brief discussion about Edwards as the potential to be LCB as well on here - So might not be crazy having natural Full-Backs as the flanking CBs, as they'll know what to do when they cover either Asiimwe / Watson and Small... Puts us then at a more natural back four, when one of those goes forward.

I think you need to still have 2 natural CBs though. Can't play Edwards and Ramsay as LCB and RCB in my opinion. I guess he's trying both sides as some teams will be seen as weak down different flanks.

Really not sure about starting Aneke.
I know it's all been discussed on here many times but using him as an impact sub for 20 minutes or so is how I would use him.

Didn't Jones say the other day that some will play 60 today and others 30? Wouldn't be surprised to see Aneke come off for Godden after 30 mins

Notice that this will be the Nigel's first Pre-Season game of the summer, so we SHOULD be in a better position fitness wise than them.

Just noticed the players are not numbered 1-11. Presumably squad numbers for next season.

Given the subs named I think Aneke and possibly Bishop only get 30 today and Berry and Godden come on for them and play the 60

Yes, the PL sides will be behind the EFL ones as their season starts later.

Plus they'll be missing Henderson - Eze - Guehi - Wharton - Andersen at the very least

Just surprised how far behind us they are, is it more than a week between EFL and Premier League starting, as thats what it always previously felt like.

Love how the Countdown to the Stream starting has the Dartford badge instead of Palace, unless I'm about to watch a different match?

Chuks just walks around Petts Wood in full kit. His manor, his rules

    Easy mistake to make.
Both clubs are of a similar size.
