Salako, a pop band who were signed to Jeepster along with Belle & Sebastian and Snow Patrol. Their 1999 record Musicality is a standout in what I consider to be one of the worst years for music between 1965 and 2005.

Believe it or not, there was a band called The C##ts, look it up and make sure you put band in your search.1

Certainly not new, they emerged around the same time as the Killers, Libertines, Kings of Leon, the Strokes.
I actually forgot about the Datsuns until i saw your post. They broke through with a couple of other bands from that part of the world, Jet and a band i loved at the time called the Vines. Their debut album is great.
