When I went to the Valley for my Wimbledon, Portsmouth and Birmingham cup tickets, the gentleman kindly let me go in to look at the pitch from the South West corner gate.
It looked lovely, there were several people in the stands cleaning seats, this was apparently because during the new pitch process loads of dust or material used in the process was blown around the stadium and dirtied the seats, it wasn’t part of any routine seat cleaning happening the gentleman said.6 -

Serious question. Is it looking better than previous summers?
on TV the other night I didn’t feel it looked noticeably better (though looked absolutely fine).Is that TV not doing it justice or is this pitch one that will simply stay looking good for longer ?1
