    100% on the money mate ! Today can set the tone for the season. I’m sure NJ will have drilled that into the players. I’m fully expecting a high intensity pressing performance and excited to be seeing it. For once I’m not nervous about the game at all. 2/3-1 victory and the season is taking shape

    Think we will win but a squeaky 2-1. Will be a bit more expansive than last week. Ahadme to get off the mark, Mitchell with the other from a set play. Some won't be happy with the football on show but a win is a win however it comes and we don't need to play pretty to get out of this pint league

    A fellow Addick from Cork flew over this morning for the game & apparently there was another couple wearing Charlton shirts on the flight. He didn’t find out who they were. Anyone know? I’d love to find out.

    Also a reduced service on the Thameslink trains serving Charlton. The 11:48 from London Bridge has been cancelled.

    Good post. I think the one slight change of emphasis I'd make is that I'm more concerned with what our team thinks on match days than what the opposition think. I want our boys going out on the pitch thinking, 'we can beat any team in this league'. The best way to ensure this frame of mind is by beating everyone we come up against.

    On the train to Charlton and what with the sun shining, the early kick off and the banter all down the carriage it’s got that old school bank holiday vibe about it. Obviously a selective memory is kicking in but I can only recall the ones where we’d turn the other team over…

    Looking for some goals today, for us of course. We seem to have sorted out the defence so really that is the important piece if we are going to have a decent season.

    I fear this won't be as seat as my previous prediction of 4-0. Orient were decent against Bolton last week, but we need to stamp an authority early this season. So my revised prediction is now 4 feckin nil. Let's ave it you Reds!!!
