If there is an opportunity for Cornick to sign on loan with potential to sign then its a no brainer in my eyes.5

Well we’re 3 wins in 3 so far so can’t be doing too bad, of course alot of that comes down to the defence and midfield but it’s also about defending from the front and the work rate they’re putting in. The way they’re dropping off because of the pace of Campbell and the work rate of Ahadme & also what’s gone unnoticed I think is the headers Ahadme wins in our own box.AFKABartram said:Amazing how we all see things differently. What would he give us that we don’t already have? I’d keep it exactly the same. Godden will come in for TC soon, but I think Reading is a game where TC will have plenty of space on the counter attackYann897 said:

Chuks and Godden seem to have a really good partnership going already, not just that goal, but lots of times they’ve linked up well together or Chuks flick ons have found Godden. TC and Ahadme running the channels and tiring the centre backs before bringing on a championship quality strike partnership is not a bad tactic and seems to be working well so far6 -
PFA free agents playing today (including a certain Michael Hector), GK's are Jamal Blackman and Jordan Amissah. Don't know anything about Amissah but Blackman would be a good second choice option, probably better than AMB and would push Mannion.0

While most would agree Santos had an off day on Saturday he is still a difficult player to play against and Ahadme did ok.1

I agree, we’ve got the numbers but not the fitness. TC is good in that position and causes defenders all sorts of problems but alongside him Ahadme looks very raw, he must be one for the future. His positioning is not quite clicking and he seems very hesitant in possession. Would love TC and Chuks to start up front together but that’s not going to happen. Is there an argument to say that initially Ahademe (and Campbell) occupies and softens up their defences so later substitutions can take advantage of the platform set?
That seems to me to be the pattern of the first three games with three late goals, the Docherty goal being a surprise bonus due to the unforgiving way we play.
I would go further and say the whole team looks strong enough to absorb pressure and then come on stronger towards the end of games.
It seems like we are very well managed at the moment.6 -

Looking at the squad I am hoping for Edun out Potts in to give more balance and cover and then Taylor and Fraser out and maybe one more midfielder in to give 6 in that area.
Would then get Nathan A a loan as well.1 -
Wasn't he just into the last year of his contract & wouldn't sign the new one that millwall offered plus he wasn't going to be a first choice & so they reluctantly let him move on for a small fee + a decent sell on clause rather than lose him for nothing next year.Scoham said:

He’s a central midfielder - he is NOT a creative central midfielder but he is very good at being a spoiler. Jones absolutely loves him. I see him as Conor Coventry competition.0 -

That PFA side has quite a few players I'm surprised haven't got clubs - Alex Gorrin had a long spell at Oxford but has had a few injuries , Harry Kite was solid at Exeter, Marcus Browne seemed to be linked with us every window at one stage. Kadeem Harris was highly thought of at Cardiff but never really fulfilled his potential , has seemed to spend the last 3 years bouncing around Turkish clubs.
No one there I'd really want to look at for our situation but some interesting names.1 -

That's about right Bob, but my point was in response to DDOUBLEE declaring that Alex Mitchell would walk back into Millwall's back four. Alex Mitchell played one first team game for Millwall coming on as substitute in a Carabo cup game, Millwall friends of mine tell me that he was always touted as a player with potential but they have never seen him play so couldn't give an indication of where he's at. There was inference in responses, rightly or wrongly, that we'd 'turned Millwall over', that's far from the truth, the signing of Alex Mitchell is good for the player and both clubs, this is chance of almost guaranteed first team football for Alex Mitchell but, as I also pointed out, we are only three games into the season and it's far too early to declare we've signed the next Bobby Moore.charltonbob said:

Ive a feeling Kanu may get a start soon alongside Adahme as TC not really cutting it in that role - Can see them both running oppostion centre backs ragged and then bring on Chuks and Godden on the hour to capatilise when they are tired.

Mistakes? I'm not sure what your logic is, but in theory all goals scored are due to mistakes made by the opposition.eaststandmike said:

Interesting this one, I think Ahadme and Campbell gave an improved performance against Bolton and we scored the first from a press that they were very much part of, even though it was ultimately a bad pass out that led to the goal. In terms of a goal threat, it's obvious that Aneke and Godden provide much more than Ahadme and Campbell, that said I still think that Ahadme and Campbell will start against Reading.eaststandmike said:

Mistakes that we force. Our entire tactical setup is based around an aggressive high press forcing the opposition to turn the ball over in dangerous positions. It's not luck that these mistakes have happened and a lot of our goals will come from it. The interesting thing so far is how clinical we've been. We've forced these opportunities but we've also not wasted them when we have. That might not be hugely sustainable, but then equally we're three games in and we already looked a lot more coherent against Bolton. If we carry on like this we may drop points where we don't take the few chances we get, but the advantage of forcing errors so high is when you do make it happen you have men around the ball and very little distance to travel to the goal so the chances do tend to be that bit easier.
