Any Washington fans here? I think they’ve got a gem in Jayden Daniels. Looks good.1

Well it’s been a fun afternoon to be a Cowboys fan
Not so fun if your name is Deshaun Watson.0 -
Could not believe how good defensively we were today. Watched the game in Toronto with a bunch of yanks.Callumcafc said:Well it’s been a fun afternoon to be a Cowboys fan

They were gutted!

It’s funny how Cleveland were probably a lot of fans’ second team and now everyone enjoys their misery and their cap hell for another couple of years at least.Callumcafc said:Well it’s been a fun afternoon to be a Cowboys fan

Raiders going 16-1 baby.6

That was very frustrating given the weapons we have......when they're not being arrested pre-match!!9goalswentpastperry said:You last gasp 🐬🐬!
Happy Sunday evening my fellow Phins. 😁0 -
Ruinous second half play calling, particularly after a game-defining play that swung things in our opposition's favour? Yep yep yep, classic Jaguars.
Sighs deeply

I must admit I did think of what you would say, when watching that turnover on the 1 yard line on redzone last night.PaddyP17 said:Ruinous second half play calling, particularly after a game-defining play that swung things in our opposition's favour? Yep yep yep, classic Jaguars.

Tbf it was an unbelievable defensive play. ETN had zero fumbles last year and is such an important part of how we play that I'm not going to lay into him, but... my word, we had ONE pass attempt after that fumble! Scared play-calling and Press Taylor has to, just has to goMrOneLung said:

Hip drop tackle goes uncalled and looks like it’s caused an injury. Great start to the new rule.1

The gall to say “What if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill?” is incredible. If he wasn’t Tyreek Hill he’d most likely be in prison. The cops should be criticised but the lack of self awareness blows my mind1
-
I mean, sounds like Tyreek Hill wasn't very compliant with the requests of the officer.
Yes he might have gone overboard with the aggression, but theres a lot of "don't you know who I am?!" Stuff going on here. The fact that he just wanted to take his ticket and get on with his day suggests you think can do whatever the fuck you want if you're the highest paid WR in the history of the NFL.0 -
I am surprised by the lack of sympathy. Tyreek didn’t help himself a whole lot with a couple of things he did sure, but no-one deserves to be treated the way he was in that moment.1
-
Of course and I’m also surprised with the lack of sympathy. My only issue is with his statements afterwardsCallumcafc said:I am surprised by the lack of sympathy. Both things are true, in that Tyreek is an arsehole who should be in prison for domestic violence (but isn't cos he's an NFL star), and that he was treated unacceptably by a power-tripping and potentially racist law enforcement officer.Callumcafc said:I am surprised by the lack of sympathy. Sympathy for what though? He didn't comply with the request of the officer, and like it or not, if you've been caught speeding, and you get asked to roll down your window to speak to the officer, you better believe that's what you need to do. He claims he didn't want to because he didn't want to cause a scene, but maybe he shouldn't have been speeding in the first place? The situation then escalated when it shouldn't have, but I don't think Tyreek is an innocent party hereCallumcafc said:I am surprised by the lack of sympathy. For me definitely the worst trade. He isn't going to be around too long playing the way he has been. He's nothing like the player he was with the Texans, but that was back in 2020.MrOneLung said:

Cleveland are going to be in cap trouble for a few seasons because of this, and he set the Texans back several seasons also.

They've released the cop cam footage https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/article292207400.html?__vfz=medium%3Dconversations_top_pagessam3110 said:

Tyreek definitely could have been more cooperative, but the cop looked to escalate the situation pretty quickly, the way he pulls him out of the car and throws him on the ground seems excessive and unnecessary to me.0 -

Look I'm not saying the cop is innocent, he's definitely way too eager to get physical, and due to the ongoing problems in 'Murica, the obvious question is if that's racially motivated (I suspect so) and also motivated by the fact it's a celebrity they've caught, but if he just cooperated with him, said sorry, wound down his window, spoke calmly etc. then I reckon there's no story here, he gets a ticket and off he goesComeonyoureds said:

I see the Giants celebrated starting their 100th season by getting pillaged by the Vikings……..ho-hum1

I don’t think that it’s unreasonable that the police should be held to a high standard - allowing ego to creep in and falling into behaviours that escalate delicate situations is the opposite of protecting and serving IMO.The body cam footage shows that they fell very short of the expected standard and it should be called out, regardless of the behaviour of the person they’re dealing with.2 -
As Giants fan all I can say is....fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck1

Yup……it’s gonna be a loooooong (regular) season I fear.CAFCTrev said:As Giants fan all I can say is....fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck1 -
Tyreek is not innocent here. Firstly was driving far too fast in a residential area and rolls up the window when talking to the officer (in a country and state where guns are widespread).
Do I think that the officers could have handled it better? absolutely, but the NFL shouldn't be putting out statements criticising the police.1 -
