nice adult style hotels, beach and places nearby to visit , with music and good food are only requisites
Any other criteria?1 -

Can echo that and I’ve only ever been to one Greek Island. Went to Crete in September 2021 and absolutely loved it.1

My daughter and her partner are in Greece at the moment and at the weekend start a yachting cruise around the Greek Islands with 4 friends.

Just got back from four days in Bournemouth. As long as you avoid the rain, Bournemouth is one of our best coastlines. Not normally a great fan of Harvester but the one in Boscombe is very nice and dog friendly. The even have a dog menu and a 4oz rump steak for £2.99 is great value. They even asked how JJ liked it and through trial and error, he seems to favour medium rare.
There is an all year round dog beach in Durley Chine which also has a Harvester. Not as good as the Boscombe one, but a nice place to sit outside watching the sea with a beer. Off to Venice in November for a few days (without JJ this time). My wife is taking me for my 60th.1 -
Stayed in Garachico, NW tenerife a fes weeks ago, absolutely beautiful place.. was the original capital of the country and first port.0

Going somewhere really exotic for my 60th birthday celebrations next week. West Hampstead...
Our friends who now live here most of the time still have their place there, and offered it when they knew we were having my knees up in London. I am actually really looking forward to it - haven't spent any more than a few hours the wrong side of the river for about forty years. You can get a bus from the end of their road to Trafalgar Square, overground to Camden and Jubilee line to London Bridge - so we can easily get to civilisation to visit Karen's aunt.
Plan to go for a walk on Hampstead Heath, visit Highgate Cemetery and Kenwood House as well as getting onto town to go to the theatre, Ronnie Scotts to see our mate sing and for my party.4 -

Am off to Valencia today and staying in Gandia for the whole of October. A nice Spanish resort at the end of it’s summer season with an almost empty 10k beach and perfect temperatures of around 25-27c 😎5

Just looking forward to some hot weather tbh.0 -
Just got back from Kenya and Tanzania for my 40th, did safari in Masai Mara and climbed Kilimanjaro. Climb was brutal, you climb to the summit at night starting at midnight for 6/7hours in -15 degrees. Scenery was incredible mind!5

Had to cancel our annual week to Tenerife due to issues with Mr F's health.
Were due to fly out yesterday but there was no way he could drive to Gatwick for a 4 hour plus flight & then deal with mid 20 degree temps whilst there.
Currently awaiting a callback from an NHS clinician after dialling 111 earlier.
Sadly, the local service has let us down badly with the Surgery in a state of chaos following a new IT system. LOADS of locals very unhappy with the inability to make appts & even order repeat meds online at present.
Not a great time for us at the moment but hoping something positive will happen today...both here and at The Valley.0 -

Thanks for those kind words, PF & Solidgone.
They're much appreciated.
Still no callback from 111 though.0
