Even the shite that is VAR can be right and justified sometimes.1

Iraola is doing a cracking job.
United could do worse than appoint him, if they sack Ten Hag.2 -
David Moyes is looking a better

Incredible really, 3 red cards in 8 games and if you listen to Arsenal fans they'll tell you all 3 weren't reds.Callumcafc said:
I see the conspiracy theories are out all over Twitter. That fanbase can’t help themselves.sam3110 said:Arsenal with their third red card of the season after last man Saliba pulls down the advancing Bournemouth attacker
Forget the poor performance from minute one, the missed sitter by Martinelli (their only shot on target all game), the awful pass from Trossard that put Saliba in trouble, Arteta's midfield selection that meant there was no creativity, the awful backpass from Kiwior that gave Raya no chance but to bring the striker down for a penalty. It was definitely the refs fault they lost.1 -
Russell Martin is in big trouble, isn't he? 3-2 loss against a fellow newly promoted side at home after being 2 up.

Typical West Ham cycle this… a little bit of relative success playing effective football, fans agitate for more, they bring in someone from Europe but go backwards instead of forwards and then have to bring in someone else to either save them from relegation, or get them promoted back out of the Championship.MrOneLung said:David Moyes is looking a better

Lopertegui was such a weird appointment in the first place , never stays anywhere very long and I'd expect West Ham will be no different.
They'll have to beat Southampton to Graham Potter now.0 -
Yeah, I can understand them wanting to move on from Moyes and his pragmatic style of football (albeit with some success) but then to go for Lopetegui whose time at Wolves was not exactly known for flowing attacking football was a strange one.MarcusH26 said:Callumcafc said:

They need to hurry up and sack him and appoint a miracle worker.North Lower Neil said:Russell Martin is in big trouble, isn't he? 3-2 loss against a fellow newly promoted side at home after being 2 up.
Then they might have a chance to get above Palace.
Teams finishing above Palace is my main concern in the PL.7 -

Think Martin will go this week , think he's been completely sussed out and if they hang it out too much longer they'll get cut adrift. Squad isn't too bad but they need someone with experience at the helm. Potter feels the obvious move.0 -
Or beg Moyes to come back!MarcusH26 said:Callumcafc said:

I really don’t like City but don’t think that’s offside2

Imagine how genuinely soulless you'd have to be to support this freakshow0

my Father In Law (RIP) was a lifelong City fan and a conversation I had with him when I was bemoaning what had become of our club one day he said to me that he enjoyed being a City fan more in the old days before this lot came along although he still supported them obviously.
my question is if a nation state bought us and propelled us to those levels would you still support us ?0 -
Oh I did. A lot.SELR_addicks said:Have to laugh really.

the ref should be 'rested' for a month or six after that decision to allow the goal .. can understand missing it in real time but to see the replays and still allow the goal is simply inexcusable ..Stu_of_Kunming said:

You're no longer a local football club at that stage, you're a sports washing organisation of a Nation State. What connection do you have to the club at that point?AndyG said:

Sure the Man City colours are the same, but they have zero connection to the club they were beforehand.
Another year of football 'fans' clapping along to the death of competition.0 -

I’d definitely lose at least a bit of interest and would only feel able to go to games/buy stuff if I was an active member of some form
of protest movement and even then it would be tough0 -
At Arsenal fans. 😂SELR_addicks said:Have to laugh really.0 -
Of course, being the plaything of an American billionaire alongside his NFL, MLB, NHL franchises is much more grass roots.SELR_addicks said:

There are levels to this and obviously sports washing is gross.
But when you’re trying to take the local club angle, football at the top level has been detached from its local communities for a long time and that includes Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea just as much as it does Man City.5 -
Yes, quite - but City somehow even more grotesque due to their sheer financial supremacyCallumcafc said:

Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool owners sell, the clubs are fine with their revenues and sustainability that they have built over decades of marketing.Callumcafc said:

Man City and their tied sponsorships leave? They're back to the Championship bankrupt.
