United have 5 goals so far this season from 5 games (may end up 6). Learning a thing or two from us.
Just be happy that Spurs are winning.

    Magnificent from the Yids.
It could and should have been 6 or 7 but dont care.

Brilliant to see Mikey Moore get some minutes.

How long do United give ETH genuinely? I'm surprised Ratcliffe backed him in the summer but performances like today aren't going to help things.....

Logic would suggest he has until Christmas time at most but this is United so he’ll last until the end of the season when he’ll be given a new contract because they reached the semis of the cups
  • Fancied a month off I guess. Pointless challenge and begging to be sent off.
You crack me up. When Trossard made a pointless challenge last week and then booted the ball away and was "begging to be sent off" you posted about half a dozen times saying the ref had it in for Arsenal and ruined the game.

Personally i thought it was harsh and VAR should've seen that he slipped, there's no intent to seriously injure the player, unlike Martinez at Palace who jumped in 2 footed and only got a yellow.

If he gives Bruno a yellow i don't think anyone would've really argued it. I watched the game with 2 Spurs fans today and they both felt it was harsh and allegedly even Maddison admitted it wasn't a red.

I'm surprised he's still there. He's spent 600m and last season they finished 8th in the PL and bottom of the their CL group, that should not be acceptable for a club the size of United.

The FA Cup win has blinded them to how bad their football is. 2 and a bit years in and no one could tell you his style of play, then compare that to the likes of Postecoglou at Spurs (1 and bit years) and Slot and Maresca (2 months)

They've got 5 goals in 6 games and 3 of those were against a hopeless Southampton, surely they can see Ten Hag isn't the man for the job.
  • In all seriousness, it is only right and proper that United should give ETH another three years minimum to try and turn things around.

Yep, I dont think it was a red either.  It was clear he slipped and stretched, was surprised VAR didnt over turn it.

BTW, as you mentioned Trossard, was surprised he was playing yesterday, given he was sent off last week, incurring a 1 game ban.

Surely the ban wasnt applied to the Carbao cup tie in the week?!??

It WAS applied to the carabao cup tie (however mad that seems).

It was yes, which is pretty stupid really as i think the suspension should be served in the same competition that you're sent off in.

So if you are knocked out you don't get suspended until 12 months later?

    Seems a bit silly.

Believe the rule is if you're suspended, you're suspended for the next game under that federation.

So there are different suspensions for domestic, european and then International games.

Which is exactly what happens in European games. But in any case we are talking about a red in league games, so you wouldn't be waiting 12 months for the suspension.

If you accrue too many yellow cards in the PL, your suspension must be served in the PL. But if you get a red you serve your suspension in the next game(s) no matter what the competition. Surely that's a bit stupid.

I thought they had changed all that after a few instances where a player is booked in a league game and then has to miss the cup final.

Can't say I keep up to date with these things.

Romero was red carded in his last European game 2 years ago (think it was againt AC Milan).
He just served his suspension for it against Qarabag last week.

Also would stop players on a yellow, late on in an important league game that so happens to be before a Carabao Cup game, taking a second yellow to help win the game and "miss" the cup game that they play the yoof in anyway

The only domestic exception seems to be the EFL Trophy, which is self contained for suspensions, e.g. for Karoy's 1 match ban.
  • I said at the time it was harsh and now Man U have won their appeal and Bruno Fernandes has had his red card overturned.

Makes even more of a mockery of VAR that they saw a dozen replays and didn't intervene.

Yeah it was never remotely a red

Mad how a group of people can watch it over and over again on a screen during the game and call it as a red.

Then another group of people watch it over and over again on a screen and then overturn it. Bloody opinions ay.

I know that Palace and Liverpool are the two most hated teams on CL (Wrong it should be Chelsea! )
But the way Liverpool are passing and moving looks effortless.
The Scousers are 1 up from Jota, earliet Eddie Nketiah drifted offside after 25 seconds and easy decision to call.
Adam Wharton is playing centre mid and is struggling.
Eze playing the Grealish role and just not in the game.

Jota should have made it 2.

The kind of game where they'll nick a late goal and draw after superfluous finishing by the bin dippers

Feels like Olise is a huge miss for Palace , don't think they've come close to replacing him

Should/could be 4-2 to Liverpool but Jota missed 2 straightforward chances after scoring the 1st and Egyptian Mo missed a good chance.

Adam Walton's subdued performance is explained away as he is carrying a groin strain.

Another couple of chances for Palace this half.
  • Disappointing that Palace didn't get walloped, but I'm happy for them to get respectable scorelines as long as they don't actually win any games. Zero wins in 7 now.

Commentators of CRY V LIV have been complaining nonstop about Van Dijk’s pull on the arm not being given as a pen, then go and give him the MOTM. 😂 Honestly, he played ok but wasn’t really under any pressure - and when he was he got away with one. I think they made their mind up based on one moment when he was calm and assured and the pair of them came in their pants.

Brentford would be the best team in the world if the game lasted a minute.

goals after just 22 seconds, 23 seconds and 37 seconds in their last 3 games respectively.
Took Brentford 75 seconds today. The longest wait for an opening goal in their last 4 league games.
  • Brentford leading Wolves 4-2 at HT  :o
