So to be clear, can no one enter the Fans bar tomorrow between 12 and 1 unless they pay £15?
I’m not been following too much last few weeks but surprised some clarity hasn’t been given on this
anyone know?
Bartram's and the Meantime Fans’ Bar will both be open from 12pm, while the Family Activity Zone (FAZ) will be open from 12pm until kick-off. Bartram's will remain open post-match to show Newcastle United's trip to Everton (KO 5.30pm).
Ahead of kick-off, former Addicks Shaun Bartlett and Mark Fish will attend a Q&A session in the Meantime Fans’ Bar.
Thank you to everybody who bought a cocktail from us today and a big thank you and hello to our new customers who tried one of our new ciders! COME ON YOU REDS!

Nice one mate, and long may it continue - Charlton winning and you selling out your stock!
I had a Peroni from the new vending machine on Saturday, was quite impressed tbf, perfect head, seamless payment process and quick
Mate - where is that? We sit covered end lower to the right (where all us old gits are) and the service is the worst i have ever witnessed. A parade of absolutely useless disinterested kids staring into space. Its a joke. I sussed what part of it is on Saturday though. There are 2 Grolsch pumps to every Peroni one. EVERYONE pretty much wants Peroni as the Grolsch is shite. So they all queue up for the single Peroni pumps its painful to watch it really is.

Right at the other end towards the family stand/AC stand
On Saturday, with this enormous attendance, I predict Crossbars will finally reach its full potential for chaos. It’s going to be a true wonder to see.
I am SO angry after reading this announcement , just 24 hours before the flood gates open & the thirsty hordes cram into Crossbars to take advanyage of this "wonderful offer".
So, the regular fans, the lifeblood of our football club who support through thick & thin, rain & shine & whose matchday habits for EVERY Saturday home game are to meet their friends & family in the one fans' area available under cover where they can sit for up to 3 hours before ko & catch up over a drink or three , will face disruption to their plans.
Many of those regulars live over an hour's drive from SE7 , others arrive by train , some may have seen this "offer", others won't .....Who will take my bet that Southend tickets for next Saturday will go on sale tomorrow, meaning more milling around the Ticket Office area earlier than usual on the last matchday before the seaside trip.
Forward planning with the FANS in mind, my ars*. But what's new ?
OK, this post is motivated by our own long term plans for tomorrow but with many others in mind who will also be affected.
Some weeks ago, I heard from sillybilly /Jim that he was finally coming over from the IOW for the first time since his life changing operation in 2021and wondered whether we could meet up before ko and that he would love to put faces to CL names /say hello on the day to some of those Lifers who had supported him at the worst time in his life.
Arrangements have been made for 12noon in Crossbars.....
What an absolute mess once again with little if any thought for the faithful.

Just to sell more beer.
The club are well within their rights to try and get people in, it realistically won't make much difference anyway! Great that you and sillybilly and other lifers can meet up, some can have cheaper pints too. I suspect at noon it won't be that busy anyway. This feels like making a mountain out of a molehill. I understand it's an inconvenience to you but it's really not as big an issue as being made out here.
FB is half dead until 2, most weeks you can get a seat at a table upto 1pm. I don't imagine many are going to arrive hours early, just to save £1 on a pint that apparently nobody likes anyway.

unless they’re going to section off the Fans Bar into two areas it feels like nobody is going to know until they get there.
Anyone go the Q&A? Was it worth it? Many there? Could others get into the bar who weren’t paying for it?
If you tolerate this, what next?
However, they'll still not sell too much due to the incompetence of the staff behind the counter. That will be a subject brought up on Sunday.
