  • Just seen the highlights. Now that AMB has taken off the mask, he can see the ball. Looked like he had a good game last night

Sorry correct, should have been Small.
Who does not take good throws.
    Easy mistake to make  :#
  • I'd imagine Leaburn will be snapped up on a pre-contract in Jan. I'd be shocked if someone like Chelsea came in but they did for Burstow so who knows.

No disrespect to Burstow but the circumstances are not the same and Leaburn wouldn’t be a bargain basement buy. It’s not the same club, management  or ownership. There wasn’t the fallout when Mason was sold that there would be if and when Miles moves on unless the money is too good to turn down. The other issue of course is we can all see a fit Leaburn is another level altogether because he’s had a lot more first team games than Burstow did when he went. Personally, if I was advising him I’d have to weigh up whether the personal contract offered is good enough to not be regularly playing and developing in a first team where he can showcase his talents and enhance his personal value further.

I doubt that will deter them from wanting him if they think they can make money out of it.

That's the point it would be a business decision. Chelsea like fast forwards now and even Nicolas offside Jackson has improved since he has had one to one coaching in the afternoon.
I wouldn't see Miles having a future at Chelsea as not only would he need to improve at a fast rate but they don't play with a traditional number 9.
if they could buy him for a couple of million loan him out with the fees that incur and then sell him to a newly promoted Side to the Premier or an ambitious Championship club in a couple of years for double or treble what they pay for him then it's just part of their loan business and raison d'etre.

My son goes to the training ground with an academy side to Cobham occasionally and they play against their 16-18 year olds and the amount of Chelsea players and coaches in their younger age groups are as many as the First team.

    Lennie was impressed
Well it seems so, but having read the article, overall it's a mixed report. And Lennie played him as a right-winger.

I want the boy to do well, and he may well do well. Thing is I believe Karoy Anderson will do well too, but he is already being over-played and getting pelters both here and in the ground - people have forgotten how young he is. I don't want that to happen to Assimwe too. He should get his chance when he's ready, not just because some more experienced players aren't performing. That's what we did last year to both of them. Based on last night, I'm not sure he's ready. But I also think we should send him somewhere better than Hartlepool if we can, Lennie or no Lennie.

Given he has just had what might have been a career threatening  injury I think he would take the money, as would you or I.

I've been told we have a 1 year extension option in his contract, let's hope it's true

Still on this deal which is described as 3 year, no mention of an option

Isn't there a rule you can only play for 2 clubs in a season. He has now played for us and Hartlepool.  I suspect he goes back there in a month or two when we have players back assuming they haven't bought someone else in

Three clubs is the rule now
  • Although Laqueratabua was only on for a short time, he looked the part.
  • So let me get this straight

    Last week:
     AMB is crap
Hylton is a fat pub player
Micky Mouse cup we should boycott
     mid table finish at best

    Now, after beating Chelsea Kindergarten

    AMB should get another chance
    Hylton should start Saturday
Where is everyone drinking at Wembley
Hopefully this win will kick start our promotion push
    😁😁
To be fair there was the outlandish prediction that Leaburn would score five yesterday too ;)

Can't remember who that silly one came from...🙄
  • I don’t know how to start a new thread…& sorry to put this on the thread again,🫣,but was just wondering & hoping that Oliver J Colgate got his cards & driving licence back from front entrance security…🤞🏻
If it contained his driving license then they should be able to contact him and get it returned.

  • AMB without a mask.  That help his vision and bravery?

Zach Mitchell isn't as good as he is hyped to be.  In my opinion.

Asimwe is our 2nd best right back and I'm glad he's back instead of Tennai.

A goal for TC smartly taken.  Now to do it against adults.

Miles is head and shoulders above many Chelsea stars of his own age.

Isn’t the hype as much about his potential as well as where he is now? If he can iron out the mistakes, get a run and develop some consistency then with his ability on the ball he can go a long way.

CB is a hard position to break through in as clubs at any level want a reliable player in that position.

For me of the youngster in the first team squad it’s Mitchell and Leaburn who have the most potential, they have both technical ability and some good physical attributes, something that can’t be said for every young player that’s part of the first team at the moment. Asiimwe might not be far off either as he has some similar strengths - decent going forward and has pace and strength.
    Z. Mitchell definitely does have the potential but I think he's still some way off being ready to start regularly. And that's fine - he just needs to be bought through and developed properly to avoid being "Wagstaffed" and set back by doing too much too soon.

He will also benefit from there being some sort of decision about his best position. There's debate about whether he'd be better as a midfield anchor type and he could do that but we need to have a real idea which it will be long term.

I asked him this 2 seasons ago, at the PotY dinner. He said "definitely Centre Back".

I didn’t see the game yesterday, but he’s looked very good in his previous few appearances. Fingers crossed he’ll keep progressing.

Has he actually played DCM or has all that talk just come from fans on here musing he may suit the role?

Has played there for the Under 21s

I seem to remember he's also played as a Bielik style hybrid, either a DM who drops all the way back into defence or a CB who plays well ahead of the rest of the line. Although that could be a total Mandela Effect situation by me.

He has played in that position for the 1st team. (A BSM trophy match, if I recall correctly. I think he came on as a sub for Dobbo.) Which is why I asked him whether he saw his future career being DCM or CB...
